Hey @Stagg Jr. can you get at the plug there without laying down on the floor?
There's several ways to route the plug. I chose to go through the tow hook boot this way when not in use I can tuck it back inside the boot and it's very easy to get to.

This one’s for @Glocker

NOCO Battery Maintainer Installation (It’s like a trickle charger but better)

Don't put a lot of miles on the Ranger so this was long overdue. I think this unit was like $30 with a lot of good reviews. Spent a couple hours installing this NOCO BM. It's an onboard version, so this is where it ended up.

They provide a mounting bracket with screws but there isn't a ton of room for a screw mount so I went with zip ties (best invention ever) and it worked out.

Ran the ground to the frame. I could just get the ground screw out. Had to flip the latch on the left though.

Direction say to mount it to the battery terminal but I wanted it to attach before the BMS sensor.

NOCO 2 Ground.jpg

This is kinda of top view. You can see the top zip tie. Holds very firm!

NOCO 3 top.jpg

The last part is a bit of a PITA. I ran the extension down past the radiator and around the frame. Then through the front past the ACC. Then over the frame and down in back of the bumper on the PS. And yes, zip tied it. Turned out very firm and out of the way. Done!

The End ??

?

HAHAHA @TVRangerSTX and @DukeCanBuildit I guess I deserve all of that. I was wondering why it was like one post, just broke up into a bunch of posts. And I wanted to know what it was! Again - clean install. But I fear I've made my first not-friend on the forum by trying to be helpful. ?

I wasn't criticizing you and your posts were helpful @Stagg Jr.!

Spent pretty much the whole weekend detailing the truck. I guess the dealer I bought it from doesn't have a detail dept, cause I got it "washed off" basically. Which is fine, I'd rather do it myself anyway ?.

So, washed it, clay bar, wash again, polish, then "ceramic" coating by Duracoatings. I bought that, their trim dressing, tire dressing and glass treatment. I will say the tire dressing is amazing but it is an initial process at first. My tires are new with minimal old tire dressing and dirt on it, so fully cleaning wasn't as bad as it would have been if they were older. But once complete the dressing is semi shiny and dry. No greasy slinging mess. I'm sold. The reason it took both days I had to stop Sat afternoon to watch a hockey game, I ditched cable so I have no way to record now lol.

A couple issues over the weekend too. Ever since taking ownership, the P/S rear "door" has been hard to close. Every time I shut it, then the the front, I get in, and there is still a notification "right rear door open" ?. Couple time I really slammed it and something was off. So I finally was able to inspect it in proper lighting and the seal around the latch was all boogered ?. I snapped a pic of it so I can show it to service this week, the proceeded to trim it away so there's no issue of closing anymore. More Ford Quality at it's finest ?.

I also ordered a Cravenspeed Stubby antenna (off Amazon) but it didn't fit (said 2019-2022 Ranger, doubt there's anything different in 2023) but the screw was too big for the hole in the truck antenna ?. I looked in the box to see if there was another screw or something, nope. I did find a little card with a customer support email so I tried that first before returning it. I will say this, Cravenspeed's customer support was awesome!! Quickly replied to my email, sent out (what they thought I needed) extra screws to try. Didn't work ?. They were either too small/big for the truck, or too small/big for the antenna. So I contacted them again and explained and sent pics. So thy said I had the wrong antenna and sent out a new one that should work with the hardware I already have. Nope ?. Same deal. So I looked through my tool box to see if there was any thing I could use to make this work when I stumbled on an old "stubby" antenna I pulled off of a wrecked VW when I was looking for some parts at a salvage yard. I thought, what are the chances this works. Sure enough, fit like a charm. So I did a return through Amazon and also sent back everything Cravenspeed sent me. Sucks I went though all that, and by no mean am I bashing Cravenspeed, they were awesome, the whole issue could have been me for all I know lol. So now I have 2 VW parts on my Truck @Kristen lol

? Heck no - I’d rather be banned than suffer that fate.

And, yes, already bored. ?

At first I did run the cord this way. Only problem was the three prong end of the cord looked too big and awkward. That end in your photo is much more streamline.

Believe it or not my mount position is pretty easy to get to.

I was just showing Trevor another way to route it because everyone's parking position/garage outlets are different. For me I have to park within a couple inches of the front garage wall because when I'm working I have my bed extended flipped out and need room for the garage door to be able to close. I couldn't get to it if I had exited it out the grille like I wanted to. This was the best route for me and easiest access.
