So I’ve had my 22 Tremor lariat since June
It has 5000miles on it
Passenger door doesn’t sit flush when closed. So all the stickers on passenger side will need replaced once realigned
Hand brake boot is flaking apart
I have a bad front parking sensor
Steering wheel is slightly off when driving straight
Now sticker is peeling off in car wash!
Dealer is getting this back. And I won’t take it back till it’s all fixed!

im a Ford guy, always have been! I waited almost a year from the time I ordered it to delivery. And I gotta say build quality and material quality is just awful!

ford do better

Reason #3,462,397,761 not to go through those recirculating dirty water sprayers.

Sucks you're having so many issues with the truck. :-(

Sorry to hear all the problems. I wonder if warranty will cover most of those issues. Please don't take a Ranger into a machine car wash.. They leave all sorts of swirl due to how rough and abrasive they are. Do a hand car wash yourself or a hand car wash service, sometimes it's the same price or a few dollars more only.

It is certainly odd to have a handboot brake flaking off, did you clean it with chemicals by chance or service washers did? I am 36k miles in and no issues, it rides with all sorts of dust/grit on it as well.

Did you put non-stock tires/wheels on and the last place did a poor alignment job?

Could you also tell us more about the bad front parking sensor? What is the issue?

Sorry to ask all the questions, just want more elaboration so I fully understand the issues.

To avoid going through any kind of car wash, what are you all doing in the Winter time to rinse off the under carriage of the salt/brine? I only ever took my 2021 Ranger though a car wish once and that was last year during Winter to rinse off the under carriage after the roads dried off after a snow storm. I usually hand wash during warmer temps and try to spray off underneath as best I can, but I'm not going to hand wash during Winter.
This Winter the Ranger has been sitting in the driveway while I use the ole AWD Mountaineer to drive if we're supposed to get snow or if roads have been salted/brined and until that stuff dries up on the roads.

I live in south Florida.

Snow is icky. LOL

But they sell under carriage sprayers that either hook to your pressure washer, or garden hose... They roll under the vehicle and spray up...

I decided to stay away from any car washes when I got the Ranger and do it by hand even though it is more time consuming. Current paint is known to chip easily and is weaker than our former vehicle paints because the lead in vehicle paint is being eliminated. The heat and strong chemicals in car washes could be problematic for our decals and paint finishes. Foam cannons are also considered safe for washing.

I'm actually on my second boot for the handbrake. First one cracked and was replaced under warranty at 35k. Now at 69k it's cracked again...?‍?
Yep…mine flaked apart also at 30,000 and was replaced under warranty. It’s cheap vinyl….
Redline Goods, leather parking brake boot. @quangdog for his great Youtube video on the removal of the OEM, swapping the boot frame to the new boot and re-installation. I even used his recommended glue E-6000; which can be found at any Wal-Mart, or Amazon. If you can wait, go to to @quangdog Youtube video and use his affiliate links.

Hey John,

Those under carriage sprayers for pressure washers are great and I want one, mostly for cleaning mud off the under side.

Unfortunately, they are bricked in the winter because we northerners have turned off our outside faucets for the season, pumped anti-freeze into our pressure washers and drained our garden hoses.

So, yeah, it’s off to the touchless car wash with the under carriage sprayer after a snow event that put salt trucks out on the roads.

Just the realities of not living in paradise. :(

Everyone's version of paradise is different and I'll take my 4 seasons over living anywhere else.:like:

I've been going through the touchless wash the past 3 years without the paint or cheap stickers washing off. My RANGER letters have hung on and the Sport stickers too.
I'll take my chances in the touchless wash every couple weeks over leaving salt on the vehicle all winter.
