In a very short test trip (AC off & only 4 stops) it appears to work with a glade plugin. Needed a plug extension to clear console lip. Can ditch the tree hanging from rearview mirror:giggle:

2 weeks and ~800 miles and no autostop. I vote for this solution as CONFIRMED!

Ooh, I like the Glade air freshener fix. A good fix for when the new truck smell fades away.

Personally I donā€™t mind the stop start tech, it operates smoother that my sons BMW. Weather it saves gas? I guess it does, Iā€™m doing a comparison now to see for myself.

Iā€™ve got to believe it contributes to more wear and tear.

The spiderman one I got at Home Depot is LED.

You can turn the lens upward and get spidy on the headliner... lol.. or turn it downward or even inward...
You win. You ought to start a thread/competition for the silliest nightlight.

Are you sure? I thought it went off after about 20 mins after the truck was shut off? Mine stays on for a while after I shut the truck off - somewhere I thought I read it was 20 minutes.
I put it in and drove a couple of miles and when I stopped, the engine did not stop. my LED did not stay on when I turn the truck off. However, the 12-volt adapter I have in the front with an LED will stay on but it's an LED So not worried about it using much battery power.

So, from my experience, the LED USB charger and LED nightlight did not work. I got mine to work with an incandescent night light, BUT I will need to grind down the larger of the 2 plug blades so it can be fully plugged in and not resting on the plastic above the outlet. The LED options looked good, but never worked, once I drove the truck.
Interesting. LED works in my truck. It's light sensing as well so not always on.

Does it plug right in? Can you turn off the light?

Plugs right in. I don't think you can turn off the light that glows at night. It's off during the day. I may cover part of the lens if it's too bright. I have it set with blue to match the blue I set for the interior ambient lighting.

It will turn off itself in daylight. It's not very bright. Will create a nice ambient light for the back seats.

Plugs right in. It just works. If you are concerned about the light, just paint it black. I painted with some plasti dip with a small strip open for color. The white on top is actually a photocell that turns it off with light.

Do we know why this actually tricks the electronics & works?
