dump them like a bad habit. I never realized how bad they were until I got new tires at 38k miles. tire upgrade was almost as much of jump in performance as the shock/strut upgrade
What tires did you go with?

I check mine in the am before leaving for work. Set it and forget it I guess. I've noticed my TPMS is about 2-3psi low on the screen vs my best tire gauge. I go with my tire gauge over the TPMS.
My TPMS is spot on with my tire gauges and my Makita tire inflator that I use to top off my tires when as needed. So, I use my phone at least once a week to check my psi. I am running Cooper AT3/4S in 265/70 and I run them at 30 psi. I guess every tire has its sweet spot, but all else being equal a lower pressure in a tires acceptable range should yield a more comfortable ride, so OP’s results seem unusual.

My truck came originally with Bridgestone Dueler 255/65/R17 AT's and they were not bad at all. I upgraded to Ford OEM charcoals with BFG K02's 265/70/17 AT's and these are smoother riding than the Bridgestone's...probably because of the larger size. The ideal ride is at 36 psi cold. This was also the recommendation that BFG gave me. I have the pressures checked once a month at Discount and have them to adjust it so they will come out to about 36 psi when cold. The TPMS runs about 2 psi lower that the actual pressures in the tires. The KO2's are showing very little wear and most of the reviews indicate a long wear cycle. They handle perfectly in every situation with the stock suspension and are very quiet and smooth riding for AT's.

Agree.......30psi will give a comfortable ride but may not give best tire wear. I think I need a new more accurate tire gauge! LOL

Brian,
I got this Slime tire pressure gauge and tested the accuracy at a Discount Tire pressure check. Their reading was 36 and the Slime reading was exactly 36. My Accutire guage tested at 35.5 with the Slime at 36. Use this guage for my truck and Mtn. bike. Carry it on the bike because it is small and lightweight. Also have a built-in gauge in my bike tire pump to compare it with.

What pressure did you run on the Duellers when you had them?

Shane,
The door sticker recommended 30 and I found that around 32-33 gave the best results. Your Bridgestone's are probably the same AT's that came originally with my 4X4.

My 23 came with Bridgestone Duelers.
It was at about 40 psi, and it felt like it.
I took it down to 38 and it became better.
Now I have it at 35 and it is obviously a lot better than it was at 40, or even 38.
