I like the power, looks and fuel economy. I've had my 2019 a little over a year. Before me, a manager at one of the other dealerships they own had driven it. It was immaculate and I assume maintained regularly. I've put 18K on it.
Battery went out at 2 years, but the dealer replaced it under warranty.
I don't like the rake, but took care of that with leveling.

I have a few Tacoma's that leave our neighborhood to get on I-17, they tailgate me through the 25 MPH zones and even the 45 MPH zone. They'd do 60 through all of them if I wasn't in their way.
But we hit the on-ramp and a few seconds later they're just a dot in my rear view.

I don't think the body panels or tailgate are weak or dent easily, but the paint does chip easily.
I did the brake fix in Forscan and the pedal is firmer now but still on the soft side.

Like everyone else, I don't like the solid bench rear seat or the storage under it.
The console lid is small. Due to constraints from cabin size, I don't really expect it to be bigger, but
the foam in it is terrible. I plan to replace that 1/4" - 3/8th" worthless foam with something that won't compress under the weight of a Q-tip.

My XLT came with the small screen, sucks but I thought it wasn't a deal breaker.
Was surprised to learn that there is no Sirius/XM tuner in it. I thought every vehicle made in the last 12-15 years had a Sirius tuner built in.
I put a couple thousand songs on a thumbdrive, but when inserted into the middle of the cubbyhole below the two 12v outlets, it sticks out right in the middle and makes it hard to put anything else in it.
And the two 12v outlet covers are often getting flipped open when I reach into the cubbyhole, one day I'll probably snap one off.

My XLT has a big knob for the fan and another for the temp control, so I don't have to fiddle with the small buttons.
But the rest, defrost, bi-level, etc. are a pain like other have said. You have to remember the light for the button you want is on top.

The armrest controls for the window, door locks, etc. seems too far back. And when exiting I often scrape my toes against the plastic panel above the pedals, w/size 10 boots.
I am 5'11" and 180 lbs. The truck doesn't feel small at all, except for those two issues above.

My truck shifts smoothly except for morning take off, it tends to jump from 1st to 3rd harshly.
After that , the ten speed has worked superbly. It's nice to be going down a back highway at say, 60 and see that you are in 10th gear only turning 1500 rpm.

The great things about this truck far outweigh the little gripes, I hope to have it a long time.

2019 XLT. Love the truck. Downside for me is the shape of the driver’s seat, hard on my back. Fixed with two small pillows. Prior Subaru and Cherokee seats were fine. Plan to keep the truck long time.

Love: this place, the customizability of the truck (IE aftermarket support), drivetrain is 10/10.
Hate: sometimes the transmission is dimwitted with 33's, I have "ranger lean" and no one really seems to have an actual solution for it confirmed, and the paint although I love the color chips insanely easy

Like: Ride height. Utility & capability. 4X4 is there if I need it.

Dislike: The transmission and driveshaft. I feel like the trans can be quite good, but its programmed horribly. I wish it had fewer gears and less complexity. I get the sense that the transmission will absolutely be the first thing to fail. But hey, I could be wrong.

Definitely like the power and towing capability.
Definitely like carplay/nav system.

Definitely dislike the suspension (way too bouncy/floaty to me...but my other car is a Miata?).
Definitely dislike the climate controls being on the touch screen.
Definitely dislike the braking so far (too soft), will try the 'ABS fix' with Forscan soon.

Definitely wish there was a MT option. Maybe the Bronco's MT88 can be mated up to the Ranger's motor and transfer case? (something I look forward to down the road ;-)).
Definitely wish the seats had more bolstering (but again, my other car is a Miata :p).
Definitely wish the ride height was not quite so high...dropping the truck a few inches would probably increase fuel economy (I'm almost certainly in the minority here).

One other interior gripe that I haven't seen mentioned, is the high plastic seat trim (bolster ?)
I use my tube step a lot more getting into the truck. And latch on to that sturdy steering wheel for a grab handle.
To use the step to get out isn't near as natural or comfortable. I have to reach back and put my hand on the door frame and position my foot back a bit to climb out without sliding off the seat.
When the seat is compressed it's making a wear spot there.

I gotta remember to use the step so I don't pinch my seat cushion against the plastic
(see pic).
A driver side grab handle would be nice to ease out of the cab using the tube step without stressing the seat edge.

Coming from a 2000 Ranger with absolutely zero options (except for V6, AC and CD player) I can't really say I dislike anything. Awesome looks, power, comfort, etc. Love love love sport mode. I'm absolutely in love with this thing.
One concern and a fairly big one is that I'm worried about the left side of the driver's seat getting worn out too quickly because it gets compressed by my weight everytime I get in and out of the truck.
One other small concern is the longevity of the turbo engine. Never thought I'd see the day when a 4 cylinder with 270 hp was the standard and only option. This thing definitely cooks though. Especially in sport mode.

Love all the safety features like blind spot and rear cross traffic alerts since I am mostly blind in my left eye. Hate the high ass end (I'm 69 and not getting any younger) Maverick Lariat bound if it ever gets built. Most of my use is in town so hybrid fuel mileage will be a plus as well as overall size. The Ranger is way more truck than I can utilize.

Haha, this would be my only dislike on my XLT.

Gawd, I’m such a fanboy.
