Coming from maritime trades where if you attach a line to another vessel you assume 100% responsibility (If it sinks you buy it worst case) does anyone know the legal ramifications of yanking people out of ditches?
I have done it too but this just popped into my mostly empty head.

Before you pull, it's probably best to get a lawyer, draw up papers for the "yankee" to sign indicating that you, the "yanker" will not be responsible for any damage that the "yankee's" vehicle incurs.

With that kind of lean on the trailer, you don't touch it until a wrecker has the trailer secured. That was bad news before they even started.

One of my favorite youtube channels is Matt's Off-Road Recovery - and I wish I could remember the one but there is definitely a video where a customer calls in with his Jeep sideways like this and he tells Matt "well, it started in a better position than this but someone showed up that 'knew what they were doing...'"
