  1. Vibration at 70 mph, Driveshaft in question

Had the wheels balanced/rotated and swapped in a new OEM driveshaft yesterday. The old carrier bearing was roached but the u-joints felt good still. I had a chance to get a few hrs on the interstate at 70 mph and there is a noticeable improvement however it does still feel as though a baseline...
  2. Vibration at 70 mph, Driveshaft in question

Yeah the carrier bearing has some movement which initially led me to want to replace. Looking at the cost and complexity to replace, I figured I'd just swap out the whole driveshaft since the carrier bearing is half the price alone. I dialed in a bit of positive toe and that seems to help...
  3. Vibration at 70 mph, Driveshaft in question

Good call-out. I'll look into that as I think it would be beneficial regardless.
  4. Vibration at 70 mph, Driveshaft in question

Good call-out, last check was showing total toe at -0.16 and based on this I might try to adjust to toe in to see how to affects things.
  5. Vibration at 70 mph, Driveshaft in question

I'm suspecting the driveshaft. I noted I have road force balanced tires and checked alignment multiple times to try to rule those out. I haven't stated I know exactly what it is, if I did it would be fixed and I wouldn't have even created a thread...
  6. Vibration at 70 mph, Driveshaft in question

Gah good catch Bill, I meant locker not LSD.
  7. Vibration at 70 mph, Driveshaft in question

Hi All, I've got 121k on my 2020 XLT FX4 that I have owned since new. From day 1 it has had the Ford Performance Fox level kit installed and has been running the FP tune. At 60k miles I moved up to 33"s 285/70R17 on +35mm offset rims. I've had a hwy speed vibration that is very noticable at...
  8. EGR DPFE Sensor Assembly Replacement Write-Up (LB5Z-9J433-B)

Kudos and Thank you for this write up and to this forum. It cannot be oversold how big of a difference swapping this part out can make. I have 90k miles on my 2020 Ranger and had noticed slightly rough shifts, searching for gears at lower speeds/rpms for the past 5k miles. Not to a level of...
  9. Front Suspension Creak - Help Diagnose

It's all good! Appreciate that though. I initially asked them if they could refund a "core" charge to keep them and rebuild for the next guy too. But they mentioned the stations were too rough to refinish. I've been all over the US on forest roads so I got my usage out of those shocks and...
  10. Front Suspension Creak - Help Diagnose

I had the work done at TSW Off-road in Hutto, TX. They specialize in rebuilding Raptor Shocks and told me my old set were in such rough shape they were not suited for a rebuild unfortunately.
  11. Front Suspension Creak - Help Diagnose

Just to close the loop - Put on all new Fox 2.0 and the noise is gone. That first set rode out to 87k which is well beyond Fox's 50k service recommendation.
  12. Front Suspension Creak - Help Diagnose

Hey RangerBill. Appreciate the call-out. I've had a can of fluid film and tried adding at the pivots/joints without luck. I had the wheels off a month ago to check bolts without any luck either but will keep those in mind again here this week.
  13. Front Suspension Creak - Help Diagnose

I have a 2020 Ford Ranger, I bought new and am the only owner. Truck came from the dealership with the Ford Performance Fox 2.0 Suspension installed. I am currently at 87k miles and have developed a loud creak out of the front suspension that has been present for the past 3 months. The front...

  17. RSI SmartCap - New Product!

Can the RSI Smartcap be mounted to a bed that is using a drop in plastic liner? Looking at some fo the bracket mounting it seems that could be an issue and you may have to cut out a decent chunk of the liner to accommodate.
  18. New softtopper

What's your take on it now that you have had it a while?
  19. New softtopper

Hello! Great looking topper. Interested in this for my truck also! How does it mount to the bed is it clamps? They mentioned on their website they have some options that require drilling so just trying to get a handle on how this mounts to the Ranger. Any issues you've had or other pictures...
