SHROCKWORKS out of business?

Has Shrockworks gone belly up? I ordered skid plates, sliders and the ultralight bumper from them on May 10th. Starting about 2 months ago I contacted them multiple times and was told that my order would ship in "a couple of weeks." In the past week I've phoned and emailed, to cancel my order, with no response.
Do we have any Houston forum members that could go knock on their door?

Old reviews and outdated social media pages. Not good signs. Did you use PayPal by any chance for payment? They make it pretty easy to dispute charges.

hopefully that isnt the case for you! but coming from the toyota side of things it was super common sadly so i would see people lose thousands.... hopefully you use paypal they are helpful when getting your money back

Not, NOT trying to be a smartass. But PLEASE do not ever order shit and pay for it with a debit card. Credit card only. First sign of trouble, you even smell trouble, dispute the charge. Don't even hesitate. Covers your ass... and bank account. My cc I don't even have to call. Can dispute it right on the app. With a couple of button clicks.

Hope you get your money back. Really sucks.

im not in the hous galv area anymore but if i remember correctly shrockworks is a fairly small biz. kinda place where if two or three folks are out sick then everything stops. hopefully they did not have a death or something.

I have seen people get stuff from them recently, but long waits and no communication is common. Shrockworks seems to be resting on their laurels and taking advantage of their customers.

I hope you can get it settled. I would definitely open a complaint with your bank.

I know they make a great product but the owner has no clue how to run a business. He (or anyone there) never answers the phone or returns emails. I wanted a set of their sliders for my Jeep and could never get in touch with them to answer some questions. I ended up buying from somewhere else and I'm sure they lose sales all the time because of this. I've see this posted on several other forums so I know it's common practice for them.

Goeff I hope you have good luck with your bank but like @Friday yet? said always use a credit card. You have much batter luck disputing charges and getting your money back quickly that way.

If they really are that small, they need to consider expanding. They do enough business that they can't be treating customers with such disdain. They haven't posted on their Facebook or Instagram since February of 2021. They don't have any evidence of being open for business on the internet that I can find. They do have complaints on the BBB.

I got my sliders from them, which are very nice BTW, but communication was virtually nonexistent. They never answered emails or phone calls.

My sliders just showed up one day after waiting a couple of months for them.

hell.... well hope they actually show up then... i learned when i was young to not use my debit card online ever... so either use a credit card or a credit card linked on paypal never just a debit...
