Smittybilt 12k Winch & mount Install
Made more laborious due to adaptive cruise and parking sensors.
Had to strip the front bumper wiring harness and re-route some wiring to accommodate moving the cruise RADAR sensor from bottom middle to upper driver’s side. Currently power is wired direct (which makes me nervous). Waiting on a super heavy duty 500 amp continuous battery disconnect switch from Jegs. To accommodate the loop bumper requires trimming the original bumper cover. No turning back.
Amazingly the cruise and parking sensors still work normally. (I figured I’d have to stop at the dealer for some CPU time or get a PC/ForScan.)
The Shrockworks parts fit well. Their instructions suck balls.

Shrockworks mount w/ winch total weight: 144.6 lbs

That looks sweet. I want one just for the factory look and added protection. I don't even want a winch but this is on my list.

I totally agree! It’s a PITA to install and I didn’t even have the adaptive cruise to deal with. So true that Shrockworks instructions are awful. For what it’s worth, my winch is direct connected to the battery without a switch and I’ve never had an issue. ::knocks on wood::

Everytime someone posts one this installation I get jealous. It's officially added to the list.

Did you have to clock it?
No, not necessary. If it was necessary it is a trivial evolution. I‘ve done it in the past on other installs. The instructions are included with Warn and Smittybilt winches.

How does it affect approach angle? Seems like it sticks out a bit from standard skid/bumper.
