I think the cab of my ranger is pretty darn quiet. I can hear wind noise but it’s not whistling noise so I chalk it up to the fact it’s a truck. ?

Anyway, the only interior noise I hear is the adjustable seatbelt mount on the pillar. And since my ear is close to it, I can easily tell that is what it is.

Any tips to tighten or quiet it down? Probably not and again it’s splitting hairs but just curious if anyone else has noticed and done something about it.

Felt padding would probably go a long way.

My interior is pretty noisy but so far the only thing that's getting worse and annoying me is the little trim piece around the pre-collision light.

mine is pretty quiet esp for all the rough roads its taken. inside the only things that make any extra noise is the stuff i have in the cab. my rear seat belts used to clunk around but i decided just to fasten them

Pretty quiet inside for me unless driving on packed snow or washboard then all the interior rattles roar to life. My driver side seat belt is quiet it is the passenger side I have to reach over and adjust when it doesn't retract correctly.

I agree. Go to your hardware store and get some felt furniture tape or some of those little foot pads and start sticking away!

Funny you mention this. I adjusted my seatbelt height not too long ago and I was driving around thinking "what the heck - a rattle already?" Nope - this thing's tight as a drum. So after a few days leaning over to my passenger side trying to source the noise I figured out finally it was the freaking seat belt bopping against the b pillar. I lowered it back to its factory home and the rattle is gone!

Lucky my driver's adjustment didn't rattle. Nonetheless, I think I'm about to follow this same advice.

I had the same issue with the seatbelt mount on the passenger side. I stuck a piece of D-shaped foam gasket and solved that (pics below). I do get more road noise than I'd like and I've thought about adding more foam/rubber insulation around the doors.

I thought my noise was wind, no, it is road. SoCal concrete Highways are what I mostly drive. Then the rare spots of asphalt are quieter, then when I drive on the special sound deadening pavement, it gets very quiet, in any vehicle I drive.

The passenger buckle has Velcro to still to the seat, so it doesn't rattle. We are picky humans.

Something about fords' seatbelts like to bounce off the b-pillar. F150s have this issue too.

Wind noise is a lot louder since I put Clearview towing mirrors on the truck. I need the mirrors, so I just live with it.

Same thing. It didn’t make that noise till I adjusted the seat and the seat belt height. It hasn’t been the same since - that part of the belt is just slightly twisted after someone has been in the passenger seat and it bounces off the b pillar. . I always have to reach over and turn it slightly then the noise is gone. This might be a safer way then trying to adjust it while driving.
