What size is that extruded aluminum bar? Would like to make some kind of secondary rack under my RCI bedrack to hold some small light weight stuff no more then 30lbs. Was looking at 2040, but not sure if it will be strong enough. I have never used the aluminum before. Here are some updated pictures.

Here are the Sharpa mounts that hold the tent.

are you asking the width across the bed or the vertical by horizontal height? it’s 1.5x3, iirc. It holds 500 lbs per bar. What size is that extruded aluminum bar? I modified those straps because, when I put things in the bag, it would rotate down. The way I did it, it can't rotate.
dang the new rack puts it that high up? thats annoying for the garage part man! interested to see your solution thou
Thought I would post a picture.
Some changes are coming. I ordered the RCI rack to replace the Billie Bars. I have (and I can't stress this enough) ABSOLUTELY nothing bad to say about the Billie Bars. They are a great solution. However, I installed a Decked system I got used and I can't fit my cooler under the BB and on the Decked. So I am going taller. Taller bed rack does present a problem though. I can't pull out of my garage with the tent on. I have a solution for that, but need to get the rack first.
I will update this when the rack is installed and I figure out the tent solution.
The new rack is 4" taller. I have 7" of clearance at the back of the tent and 8" at the front, but the ladder is only 3.5". I have a 7' door, and I will be 1/2" shy with the ladder on. I am going to get something like this so I can pull the ladder to slide out of the garage and back in. Once the ladder is off, I have no issues getting in and out of the garage, so it should be once per trip to remove. My driveway is at a slight angle too, so that is why the back and front have different clearances.dang the new rack puts it that high up? thats annoying for the garage part man! interested to see your solution thou
