What did you do WITH your Ranger today?

Deleted member 15875

I just found it really weird. Same truck. Xlt, same everything but rear locker and tires. My 2020 i could never go over 280 miles without a fl up. With the 2022............i see my mileage and think its ready for fuel, but i go 330 to 350 miles before i have to fill up!! I dont see what the difference is. Maybe thats why fuel mileage is all over the place with the forum. I dont concern myself with mileage, i just use it as a health report. If i always get 17, then one week out of the blue i get 10, and it stays the same, and no check engine light, i know something is up. So thats why i keep track. Just really wierd. Same truck, engine, tranny so...beyond my pay grade.
300 miles is pretty much what I'm seeing.

I think the lowest mines ever read was 380 to E. When I fill up mine averages 420 to E and my best was on our trip back in June when it said 461 to E.

Beyond my paygrade - I use that line at work all the time and get strange looks. LOL

Perfect and a hell of a lot easier that the TrekStep install, also easier to see and it has a hand grip.

I get nervous stepping out of the bed and wish it had a stake hole to hang on to. I grab the end of the tonneau rail which would provide zero support and probably cut open my hand if I ever do miss the step!

Plus, you can use your step when washing your truck!

I just couldn't get myself to spend $200-$300 on a static step. At least with our steps, we can use it on any part of the truck
i got one similar to yalls lol. works out great for washing to roof of the cab where i cant reach on foot.

Needed a cement mixer for some furnace refractory at the local Smithsonian affiliated industrial museum, so I loaded mine up on Pepper for the 30 mile trek to Bethlehem. The mixer's been sitting outside in the weather by my woodpile since I got it out of the dumpster at work in 2005...amazingly I plugged it in and it worked! The service guy from the refractory suppler had a nice blue Ranger as a company vehicle. We mixed about 1000 lbs of material in 50 lb batches, and carried buckets up portable steps to dump in the furnace shell. Got home, Pepper had 12 miles to empty, I was on E also, my bones are even tired. Why am I the only one that's dirty? Hated to get in my truck like that.
