today and all night last night lol Abbs and I put on a winch mount and winch. we lost tools, made a mess, busted up some knuckles, scraped up hands and arms. we also discovered the mount manufacture directions were wrong or who ever was reading them should have printed the correct instruction set... guess who was reading them ???. after taking apart way too much and mounting things up and trying to put the bumper etc back on - no go. we had to take it all apart and start over. . . picture was around 3 am after starting over.

apparently, due to covid 19 - m 18 wrenches and sockets have vanished from my boxes. had to dig in garage and in the trucks for 18s. found one 18 socket from 4 tool sets?... and one 18 wrench. back in business. cheap hong kong 18 socket fails. ruined the bolt, bolt stuck in socket- in the frame ?. took a moment to reflect on life.?‍♂ then got my ? and pry bar ?‍♂ showed that bolt and socket who boss. removed ruined bolt from frame. back to parts bins to scrounge up substitute bolt. found bolt and the sockets i was missing from the begging ?

. finally got it done. winch works. mount works and is solid.
You should know cheap Taiwan made socket trumps Hong Kong socket every time. I'm ashamed to admit it but things were different when I bought it 30 years ago I have a Russian made set of 6 point metric sockets that are just superb, have been swung on with big breaker bars and pipe "extensions" have use them to drive bearings in a 6 ton press, and other abuses and apart from some chipped chrome on a few they're still like new.

balance issues and vibration

i got the tires on in sep 15th and since then ive been in to my local discount tire almost every week that i could to fix the issue... multiple balances, road force tests, two tires replaced, hub rings installed to see if it would fix it... more balances until finally they asked if i wanted new tires...

i most likely got a bad batch tbh but its all taken care of and i know loads of people who have no issues with these tires! i just sadly was one who did..

@Rhino,

I'm sorry to hear you had issues with the Falken Wildpeak tires but I'm glad to hear your local Discount Tire store took care of you.

Noticed something peculiar about my ranger today.
2022 xlt fx2. 22mpg average
5k miles

My old 2020 xlt 4x2 18mpg average
38k miles. Mpg the same even when new.

????????? Both bone stock. With tailgate strut assist. Something is not equal. I drive the same way.
Hhhmmmmmmm

Your older Ranger was most likely "loaded down" with stuff Ford deleted from the newer Rangers, probably the extra weight the old one was carrying .
Newer Rangers are much lighter due to "the great parts delete" !!!

The new one is 200 lbs heavier! So says the weight scales anyway. As driven on the daily. But the deletes make sense. Lol

I just found it really weird. Same truck. Xlt, same everything but rear locker and tires. My 2020 i could never go over 280 miles without a fl up. With the 2022............i see my mileage and think its ready for fuel, but i go 330 to 350 miles before i have to fill up!! I dont see what the difference is. Maybe thats why fuel mileage is all over the place with the forum. I dont concern myself with mileage, i just use it as a health report. If i always get 17, then one week out of the blue i get 10, and it stays the same, and no check engine light, i know something is up. So thats why i keep track. Just really wierd. Same truck, engine, tranny so...beyond my pay grade.
