ya thats true just got to jump in there my buddy has a welder and i plan to make some type of bedrack for my truck but man idk what kind i want ugh!!!! i had asked thou if i could do some of the welding so i could practice and also be proud of what i made!

if anyone has some good ideas for a bed rack that one isnt super high up and two i wont have to drill into my bed let me know! id love to start on it eventually so then i can plan on selling my m100 camping trailer

oh ya for sure im just not sure what i want to do i guess if that makes sense? i could do something simple like two bars that just go across with two legs to support it or i could make it a bit taller at mid height and have a way to mount stuff on the outside/inside of the rack with the tent up top but idk yet i havent exactly figured out what i want besides the fact i dont want it supper tall and want it easy to take on and off for when i need the bed of my truck that and i dont want to spend a lot! because i could go and order the cbi one for 500-600? which looks great but eh dont wanna spend that lol

When I built mine there wasn’t anything really for the rangers so mine was tall enough to clear cab racks on the trucks because at the time I was going to produce them. But I couldn’t find a solid shop around here to take another job on to bend the material up and lack of persons to help with programming for the proper bends and all that mess.

ahh i gotcha what did yours look like? cab height isnt my thing anymore (been there done that lol i prefer mid height) but trying to get ideas on how to start mine

Decided to call it quits tonight. I got the tray primered but I couldn’t help myself to spray some black to see how it will look. I approve. Yes I will now keep a cab of spray paint in my tool bag! ??

Paint is done. Now it’s doing a little drying before install. Wiring up the tail lights, reverse lights, and tag lights! Should be on the road tonight!

That’s correct. I cut out a bunch of strips off my vinyl machine and started laying out the topography lines. My JK has reflective black ones. Thought about doing the same on the ranger once the cab gets wrapped.

holy shit! now that is cool and time consuming! i thought it was a sheet you just ordered dang it! haha since i saw the rtr sema ranger ive wanted to do a vinyl setup like it but to my own style

By the way, that part of the headache rack that sits out past the cab might be an awesome place to mount ditch/work/camp lights!!!

Yes sir. I’m at the mercy of 35 year old electrical but yes I built it with the Eastwood MP140i. That thing is a champ!

Good on you! My ex-father in law built his own welder - wound the coil himself - had to bake it (I don’t know why) and used the MIL’s kitchen oven - stunk up the whole house. It was a beast - neighbourhood lights dimmed when he used it.
