Been into gaming on PCs since the early 90s with wolfenstein and doom on windows 3.1.

Upgrading the computer soon and guess what I still have the more modern versions of those games. Nothing like shooting nazis or slaying hells demons to destress. Until we have the zombie apocalypse I can’t just shoot random things.

I'm not a "gamer" by any stretch but I do enjoy Age of Empires, Factorio, and Satisfactory for late-night "turn your brain off" relaxing.

Same here. I even used to make my own Doom levels (called .wads) for my friends and I to play on. Of course, since I made them I had a lot of secrets built into the game that they didn't know about at first.
Since then lots of Halo, call of duty, battlefield, sniper elite. Currently playing Halo infinity.

Not a gamer here either but Halo is my favorite..

I tried playing Call of Duty, the WWII version, but only after playing it a little it got me sick to my stomach for 'gaming' a war where so many sacrificed their lives, on all sides, and I felt like I was disrespecting all ...

I like Halo because you're pretty much just shooting aliens, like Doom.. so a lot less realistic and

Agreed, that is why I like shooting demons, and halo is up there. Got my son into it recently and now we have 5 different halos for the PC. He laughed at the graphics on the first one. Made me feel old.

Wow, some memories for me! I got involved with PC’s in the mid 1980’s. I use to build them on my dining room table for resale. This is before Gateway and Dell were around. So a typical system was an 8080 processor with 512 memory and a 10 megabyte hard drive! Windows 3.1 and mostly MS-DOS commands to set it up. I would resale these for $2400 each. Parts cost me about $450. (That’s how I got my down payment for my first house with interest rates at 18%!)

So hooked up with this company that was the first in the country for digital medical records and insurance approvals. I couldn’t build these things fast enough.

During this time Boston was also the first in the country to setup a dialup modem bank. It was called Citynet and was really just a big chat room. Later they added mailboxes! Woohoo!! Anyways, we all decided to meet in person after a year of online chatting and have a picnic on Boston Common weekend day. That’s when I met the girl that was also working for the company I was selling computers to.

Well, we’re not sure but we may be the first marriage to happen from an online meeting. This would be pre WWW days.

Games! Yup got a box of old ones that we use to use. Really basic 8 bit graphics and basic dialogues.

To this day I still build my own. My oldest boy got the bug and is now a programmer with masters in Computer science and another in Mathematics. He builds his own too!

I use computers daily at work, mainly for 3D modelling in CAD. (and browsing Ranger5G).
Play games at home. I am now into the Far Cry series. First FC5 (love shooting up some Peggies), FC New Dawn, FC3, now FC4, then FC6.

Been messing with computers since the mid-eighties. Original IBM PC-1. Use to replace the 8088 processor with NEC V20s to speed them up and add hard cards to give them internal storage. MSDOS 3.0, wow lot of memories. First home PC was a 386SX-16 AMD clone. Downloaded a lot of DOS games off bulletin boards with a 56K dialup. Never got in to first person shooters but loved The old side scrollers like Commandor Keen. Also the Kings Quest series. First networking was Windows 3.11 for workgroups. Did a lot of stuff on AutoCad and finished up doing 3D work with SolidWorks. Last real gaming I did was the Myst series through Riven. Still mess with building my own boxes and do network wiring at home and for my church. Got the RJ45 colors memorized.

At this point in time, I like to open cases on karrigan CSGO , and also sometimes hang out in cs go with friends.
Doom was one of the first games I actually played. It was a wonderful experience. At one time, we played counter-strike global offensive with friends, it was a great time.
