Here is a picture of some stuffed animals my wife makes to donate to local organizations that have Christmas parties for families in need. Every year she makes 50 to 60 of them. This batch went to the local Boces special ed program and she almost has the next bunch done for the local Sheriffs Christmas giveaway.

OP, can you fill me in on what laser system you use? You mentioned 'low-cost laser diode'. That is some fine detail in the engraving.

I have several and they all work great. I use 10 watt versions of the Ortur LM2 pro, Lm3 and an Xtool D1 10 watt for most work. Things like the fridge magnets that are up to 1/2" thick and cut from scrap I use my Xtool D1 PRO that has a 20 watt output and a very good lens system for fine details and thick cuts. I also have an Atomstack 10 watt that I have stretched to 4 ft cutting capacity for big signs but I do not recommend the Atomstack brand because of many problems. Ortur and Xtool both make great lasers and have decent support. Blue diodes do not do a great job with plastic and for glass it has to be painted black first to get decent engravings.

It's a labor of love. She loves putting smiles on kids faces that don't have much.

You may not be old enough yet. It helps to be retired and have unlimited time to learn new things. I love hot wings ?.

Wing!? You must have a good paying job to afford chicken wings. Where I'm from, leg quarters are cheaper.
