You get a oil drain valve (Valvomax or Fumato) with a drain hose.I made a mess.

My oil drain catch pan does not work so well with the Ranger. I need an oil drain trough for this truck, how does the oil drain as 2 streams from one hole?!?!
This is the first time I've changed the oil myself on the Ranger, this is its second oil change.
Also, does anyone else have the reset procedure not show any messages? On my RS I've seen the messages just fine, but on the truck the messages never appeared, even after holding the pedals for 45 seconds. I started going through the menus on the info system as I remember I could display oil life there (RS I have to use a scan tool) and was thinking maybe I can reset it from the menus, but when I got there it was reset already and showing 100% oil life remaining already.
Well I was following the directions in the 2021 Ranger FSM for the Oil Life reset, same steps as my 2016 RS, but in the Ranger I didn't get any of the popup prompts that it was resetting (should be a prompt that it will reset with a progress bar, and then confirming reset), but on going to the menu area you mentioned (and I mentioned before) it was already reset, I'm assuming it was reset by the FSM process I did, even though it didn't inform me it was resetting.Suggest

As far as resetting oil life on my '19 XLT it is in the dash info display under settings, vehicle and scroll down to oil life reset.
I have the Valvomax and like it alot. I like how it seals better than the Fumato ball valve. Amd it's all stainless.Well I was following the directions in the 2021 Ranger FSM for the Oil Life reset, same steps as my 2016 RS, but in the Ranger I didn't get any of the popup prompts that it was resetting (should be a prompt that it will reset with a progress bar, and then confirming reset), but on going to the menu area you mentioned (and I mentioned before) it was already reset, I'm assuming it was reset by the FSM process I did, even though it didn't inform me it was resetting.
The only other thing I can think of is, I logged the Oil change in the Ford Pass app. Maybe when that record as added in the app it sends a reset command to the truck too...., I don't know. I've never heard of it. But I'll do a few things different next time if I remember to see if I can determine what happened.
Also, I can still count on this forum to help me spend my money. I had looked at the Fumato before and didn't like that design. But that Valvomax looks nice.
Well, I was looking over it for a while and I liked the design of the Valvomax enough that I just ordered 2, one for the Ranger and the other for the Focus RS. I plan on adding flow control clamps on the hoses so that I can close off the hose while connecting it drain valve and then move my oil collection pan/bucket in place and open the flow control clamp.I have the Valvomax and like it alot. You can start the threads at the valve without it opening the valve then as you screw it in it opens the valve slowly, till its tight/wide open. Even works for getting a sample for analysis. What ever works for you though.Well, I was looking over it for a while and I liked the design of the Valvomax enough that I just ordered 2, one for the Ranger and the other for the Focus RS. Well, that's different!Installed my grill lights and color match light shield today. It's only 900% humidity and 8000 degrees in So FL so stopped there.

I did my doors and it makes a big difference. I also doubled it up under the speakers and I think that helped out, too. I just have factory radio setup.Installed some killmat under the storage areas and along the entire back wall of the cab. I didn’t go crazy with it, just wanted to deaden it a bit. I have a turndown exhaust after the axle and wanted to see if it would reduce some of the exhaust note and ambient road noise. I had it laying around so I figured why not. Seems to have made a difference but need to do the doors for more impact. Interestingly, it didn’t necessarily reduce the volume of the exhaust much on side streets etc, but what I hear now is deeper tones vs a more hollow sound. Made the cab a bit more deadened in general which I like. Can’t wait to do the doors and install my focal speakers and tweeters. Picture was about half way through and added a bit more in spots.

Some of us can't afford to use up our payload limit on sound deadening material. ?Installed some killmat under the storage areas and along the entire back wall of the cab.
