If he is a top notch kinda guy, he's got a damper on that tailgate.
With those duallies he'd better have 2 dampers on that baby. ?

Is it the lighting or my colour-blindness? It looks like your truck bed is painted two different colours.
it's the lighting, doesn't help that Avalanche grey looks white under certain lighting.

The nice weather continues:
Today's mission was to install the Bushwackers and tighten up the Westin Traxx 5s.
I also put in the LED plate, 3rd brake and cargo lights.
I've got the decals and the mudflaps in the garage if we have a couple more nice days.

How do those Bushwackers go on? 3M tape?

Added a Bedslide 1000. Our last vacation was the last for crawling in and out of the bed for luggage and picnic supplies.

Installed the engine cover and it was beyond easy. Even with my atrophied arms from the damper, the hood struts did the heavy lifting. Now my arms have gotten weaker and I can't handle 3/8" ratchets, but the 1/4" is still usable (with effort and summoning my Thor-like power).

I guess Snap-On doesn't know about the tailgate damper, or they'd surely come take back their tools! =D

Now I can sleep well at night knowing that I have created a nice and warm home for chipmunks on those cold new Hampshire winter nights.

Blah engine with normal horsepower.

02.jpg

Darn it, too short to easily reach the rear (resisting urge to say "that's what she said").

03.jpg

Thank God it's not one of those giant torque wrenches! =D

Wow, so quiet I can hear myself fart and probably gained 50 or 60 horsepower!

Honestly though, I couldn't tell an engine noise reduction, but now I can feel fancier on my dump runs! =)

@subquark I'm very happy with the quality and ease of use. Of course you lose a bit of room but as noted, no more crawling in. It's mainly a vacation/road trip vehicle anyway.

That thing is really cool- unfortunately I have the Swing out toolbox behind the wheel well that I couldn't open with that.

The crawling kills me! And our kayak gear inevitably always has something that gets pushed to the front of the bed, and even with a TrekStep, I get scared I might do a header getting back out of the bed.

Thanks for the pics and info, I never even thought that there'd be something like that out there. And even though it's a bit expensive, the back aches it saves seem to be well worth it.

The easier it is to use our trucks, the more we use them, and this certainly does that! =)
