26.3!I'm starting to think I've got the wrong motor in my Ranger. lol We're 2 weeks into our trip and I have 7 fill ups so far and my worst mpg has been 24.4 and the best has been 26.3. This is going through many different elevation changes starting out in AZ at around 1000' and have been as high as 11,000' driving 75-85 mph. Before heading out I was expecting to get somewhere in the 22-23 mpg range so this is a bonus. Premium gas prices have been averaging around $5.25/gal and I just checked my Gas Buddy app and back in AZ it's already up to $6.23! Another reason we're NOT looking forward to going home.
no need. he is running 93 octane, and driving smart. I have topped off my tank with 87 octane, and drove 40 miles at 40mph with very little start/stop. average MPG 29mpg. and at times it went over 32mpg, but a couple of start stops and that drops quickly.I suspect he's getting someone to push him up to those high areas, and then he coasts down, thus giving unusually high mpg readings !!!

I saw a pump that had E-Free in Wyoming but I didn't use it. Everywhere else had regular pumps and I'm almost positive they had ethanol.
When I installed the tune I noticed a small gain around town. I normally don't do a lot of highway driving back home but now traveling we're doing 80-90% highway. I just thought with larger tires, 2.5" lift and the tune that was darn good mileage especially seeing I'm averaging 75-85 mph.
