Support group for those waiting for their Ranger MY22

Should be picking it up a a couple of hours... Waiting on the credit union to finish paperwork and pick up the check.

Noticed a few places in the paint that'll need to be fixed though. They said a lot of vehicles have been coming in super dirty and also dings and scratches they've been having to get taken care of.

They're going to get the local body shop to fix them. Dealership marked the spots I pointed out but said they'll make sure it gets fixed and also have the bodyshop give it a good look over.
I've used the bodyshop they're going to use and those guys are the best of the best so not worried.
They've done work for me in the past and you'd never know it had work done.

The guy I know was going to make the guys clean the tires better but said he's going to let the bodyshop also take care of giving it a good detailing. Which I prefer . Also said the owner is good friends with the manager so may be able to get my truck in and touched up sooner than later.

They had a Lighting there also. He was like see what I mean about shipping. The front damn had been cracked and chipped

My summer and fall travel plans - optimistically made around having this truck - are totally up in the air and likely squashed. Also trying to time the order of a Snugtop canopy since they're 3 months out as I understand. I need at least a VIN/Build Date email to loosely estimate these things.

Order confirmed by Ford March 21, 2022. Not a peep since, waiting on VIN/Build Date still.

A few months ago, I was tracking this thread and it seemed the pattern was 3 months from order confirmation to build date, with notice of VIN/build date about a month after order. This doesn't count sitting in a lot for a couple more months waiting for dealer delivery.

I think the pattern has changed for the worst, with more time between order confirmation and VIN/Build Date. Ford is getting worse, not better it seems.

And they don’t care. They don’t communicate with you at all. You have to call and ask them yourself. And then they just tell you what you want to hear nowing full well it’s a lie

Called Ford for real today, in production 8weeks and counting,

They said “your Ranger is in production, it is schedule to arrive at your dealer 06/18/2022,

But it is on hold, I don’t know why, call your dealer because they know more about this then Ford does.

Stubby installed, center tray and ignition trim ring put in, can't believe Ford didnt include those. I need to get it a better washing, wheels clean & some back to black then I post up some picts.
Shame Ford let all these vehicles just sit outside
Need to order that A.S.S eliminator but gonna wait and see if they have a 4th of July sale hahah

So, I found a Ranger I liked at a dealership online. Used my factory order pricing from competing dealer as leverage and upgraded from blue lariat sport 4x4 w/tow to silver lariat tremor w/splash package. I'm moving to the area of the dealership in a couple weeks, so it's a win win. I will however have to buy a tow setup which this didn't have, but I'll order it once we get closer to getting our small rv trailer in a couple years. It's also nice since it has the LED lights, which was one of the biggest reasons I wanted lariat. I was a little shocked seeing this Ranger sit on their site for more than 2 weeks- given the market.

Given all the recent news about Ranger production, I wasn't willing to wait until September or beyond.

I emailed Tim Bartz over at Long McArthur Ford, the YouTube guy, with a question on production. I told him about my XLT 301a order was placed on 2/27/22 with confirmation on the 28th.
I asked him his opinion if he thought I might get a 22MY build in August, as per his 6/7 video. Here is what he responded with

"The scheduling for June hasn't started yet. That will start next week and could take several weeks to finish out your dealer's allocations. This month will probably be the last scheduling for 22MY and any orders not scheduled will be pushed to 23MY production. Tim"

So, take what you will from this email.

Whelp, I've been placated. My dealership called me and found an f150 with leather and front bench that has been a custom order and the owner bought something else by the time it was delivered. It checks 8/10 of my boxes. I'm going to pick it up after my 7 days on. I'm leaving my ranger tremor order open however. We shall see if the fx4 lariat Ecoboost 3.5 with maxtow, 501 leather and front bench can talk me out of my ranger

The wife and I were on the freeway the other day and saw a Cassens transport car carrier and it had half Toyota Tundra’s and half Chevy Impala’s, so if I had to guess all the manufacturers are having a hard time delivering vehicles. so hang tight gentlemen and ladies I think they will come in time.

That looks like to same truck as mine, different color, is that a LARIAT, 501A Black Appearance Package Appearance Package Trailer Tow Package FX2 Package, mine has been in production since 04/08, does it something do the black appearance?
