Always 87 octane. Different brands.
WaWa, 7-11, Chevron, Shell. Driving habits haven't changed. Usually 55 to 62 mph on highway. Don't tailgate. Not in a hurry to be first at a red light or stop sign.
My 2022 2WD Ranger with 78K miles on it was getting 25 mpg in regular driving and 30 mpg on long highway trips since 2022. Suddenly it's getting 24 mpg on long highway trips and 20 mpg in regular driving. Truck seems to drive the same as before, except for the sudden increase in gasoline...
I hear you. I had a $1200 repair. My passenger side airbag failed in two years at 61K miles. Factory warranty ran out at 5 years or 60K miles. So I was 1000 miles past the factory warranty. I THOUGHT that the Ford dealer I bought my truck from sold me a genuine Ford warranty, but he sold me...
Apparently not. I thought I was covered by Corporate Ford's "Premier Plus 150K mile extended warranty, but it covers everything in the supplemental restraint system EXCEPT the actual airbag itself. What has me confused is how can one determine whether or not an airbag will detonate in a crash...
I have the BEST version of Fords extended warranty. Airbags are the only thing that it DOESN'T cover. The airbag sensors, electronics, etc are all covered, but not the airbag itself.
$600 (plus tax) to get my truck back unrepaired (diagnostic fee), or $1100 to get my truck back REPAIRED from Gary Yeoman Ford dealership in Belleview Florida. Got to pay the ransom either way. Hate it, but it is what it is. I agree with you that it sounds weird that a airbag should go "bad"...
They say it's the airbag itself. Not the sensors or wiring. If it were the sensors or the wiring Ford Premier Plus would have covered it. The "good" news is that the diagnostic fee is included in the repair cost , so that the total damages are "only" going to be around $1100. Should an airbag...
My 2022 Ford Ranger with 63K miles on it needs to have the passenger side airbag replaced according to Gary Yeomans Ford dealership in Belleview Florida. The truck has never been in an accident. The airbag has not deployed (just the idiot light). I purchased the Ford Premier Plus warranty when I...
I run 87 octane in my completely stock truck all the time. EXCEPT when towing a 4000 pound travel trailer I use the cheaper 89 octane E15 gasoline. I have found no difference in the gas mileage or performance. I think the slight boost in octane and cooling effect from the ethanol negates the...
The Ford Ranger is just about the largest vehicle that will fit on Amtrak's AutoTrain. A full size pick up truck will not fit. An AutoTrain leaves Sanford Florida and Lorton Virginia every day at 4pm and arrives at Lorton Virginia and Sanford Florida at 9am. You sleep on the train in either...
I was always a car guy. I didn't really want a truck, but I did want to tow a trailer, and cars don't do that anymore. So I looked at the crew cab sort of like a four door sedan with a really big trunk ( I have a bed cover). So happy with this truck! Got the "off road" version of 2 wheel...
I have an FX2. Two wheel drive with a locking differential and raised suspension. It gets pretty good gas mileage, and I can get unstuck if I need to. Bought it to tow a camping trailer. I don't drive off road. I drive on a lot of rutty dirt roads, but their is always some type of road under...
30 mpg highway not exceeding the posted speed limit. 24 mpg with two 14 foot kayaks on a ladder rack @70 mph. 2WD crew cab. 87 octane regular unleaded gas. 750 miles on the truck, now one week post delivery.
