Since I'm one of the lucky ones and got my Ranger last week (including buttons in the rear headrests, but no strut hardware), I thought I'd post a pic of ASS delete since I never saw one for a base 4x2 XL Scab.

Just got off the phone with Ford again?. My ranger that was ordered 12/11/21 and built 3/24/22 has been delay again until 6/3/22 for delivery. This is five times I have been told a date and it hasn’t happened. At what point do you say the heck with this and look for something else? Still have never received an email from Ford. Just venting ?

So, I decided to pop down to my dealer today and see what was up. Got within 10 minutes and my sales guy calls me and says it arrived!

So, it still needs to PDI, but I was able to take a peek, quick exterior walkaround, verify the vin, etc. I was surprised by the lack of protection, as seen in this photo (which they could've removed already which would be odd for no PDI), but overall, it looks amazing in person. Velocity Blue was the right choice. Earliest I will be signing papers is Saturday

If your truck was on the same rail car, I would expect a call in a couple days to a week, depending on how fast they are moving. With Phil Long being massive, I imagine they wanted to rush it to them
That's awesome. Mine was ordered from Freeway Ford. I assume it was the same railcar. How come not until Saturday to sign or was that from your choosing?

They won't release it, let me test drive, sign, etc, until PDI is done. So Saturday is the earliest I will be able to since their PDI guy has a backlog to navigate through and since this was a dealer stock order (despite being SOLD), it is a bit lower priority than customer orders

Pre-delivery inspection my friend! Check for paint chips, damage during transport, battery and fluids are good to go, top off whatever is necessary, send to detail to get cleaned up, basically make sure they are handing me the keys to a running, driving, as perfect as possible vehicle. Your truck will go through it as well

What a good lookin' truck! I'm waiting on the same color. I think it's the best color option offered. Is you're the FX4 or open diff?

Thank you sir! That is an FX4. Couldn't bring myself to spring for a Tremor. Just waiting for it to PDI so I can take it home

It is a nice looking truck, but Race Red is the bestest color of all! =p

Enjoy your new truck and congratulations! =)

Same here, couldn't justify the Termor package. I do think I'll put a 2.5" leveling kit on mine when I get it, whenever that might be. ?

I have a Lariat on order since March and just received this from my dealer:

22MY Ranger Optional Lariat Halogen Headlamp and Fog Lamps
  • The automotive industry continues to be confronted by supply chain shortages of a wide variety of components used to manufacture Ford vehicles
  • As a way for customers to get their Ranger trucks sooner, Ford has implemented the following product offering change process: Optional Lariat Halogen Headlamp and Fog Lamps (87G)
    • All Lariat orders will require Optional Lariat Halogen Headlamp and Fog Lamps (87G) through the remainder of the 2022 model year. The window sticker will reflect a credit in the amount of $500 for optional Lariat Halogen Headlamp / Fog Lamps.
    • Dealers should communicate with retail and fleet customers regarding changes required to the orders. Following this communication, dealers should add Option Code 87G (Optional Lariat Halogen Headlamp and Fog Lamps) to Ranger Lariat retail & fleet unscheduled orders by Friday, May 27th.Those Lariat orders that are not updated by Friday, May 27th will be amended by Ford to include the Lariat Optional Halogen Headlamp and Fog Lamps (87G) on Monday, May 30th.
    • Lariat stock orders in unscheduled and scheduled status will be amended by Ford to include Optional Lariat Headlamp and Fog Lamps (87G) on Monday, May 30th. After this date, Option Code 87G will need to be added to all newly entered Lariat orders
