I saw these on eBay but just wondering about the "on at dusk" sensor. Will it come on during the day or is it dark enough in the cabin to keep it on? If not where is the draw or will it only work at night? Looks like a cheap and easy remedy.
It’s dark enough to stay on. Never had it go off.

I didn't know about the light trick till after installing the autostop eliminator. That said, I do like the option to press the button and turn it back on if the traffic conditions warrant it. I guess I could had a tailgate dampener instead. ?
If you get a Damper, your hands will weaken ? to the point that you won't have strength to press the autostop eliminator buttons ‼

I'll probably bite the bullet and get the eliminator when I get my Ranger. Hopefully next week or two.
The light in the back, would mess with my OCD being white and the fact that it's back there haha
Don't want to do the unplug at the battery as that sensor also works with other things.
There may be times that I would want to use the a.s.s so pressing the button to turn it back on is simplest.

Honestly I'm not sure why Ford didn't make it from the factory so that it stays in the last mode you had it in instead of having to turn it off every time.

Likely they would not have gotten credit for the fraction of a mpg on the corporate economy goals if it remembered the last setting.

All I did was plug in a charger that has the green light when it’s plugged in,been that way nearly a year

One of those USB phone chargers? That could be an option if I can find a black one that works.
I thought the LED didn't turn on unless it was charging something

Installed the auto stop eliminator this morning, removing the trim as shown here:

Super easy if you are gentle. It took maybe 10 minutes. If you have a hard time getting the stock connector loose, use a small pick with a 90 degree bend. That worked well for me.

I just added the Autostop Eliminator to my 2019. I absolutely hate the autostop "feature" and seriously doubt that it actually saves any fuel that matters. Took me about 10 minutes total to install. I had initially used Forscan to turn it off, but my concern was the Battery Maintainence system and our AGM batteries. I found a discount code, so it was only $72 shipped to me.

I picked up the Autostop Eliminator last week and had a chance this weekend to install it.

Youtube has several videos that show how to install it without removing the front lower dash. This might work if you have normal or small, somewhat nimble hands. I, on the other hand, with my not so nimble and rather large hands found this a bit frustrating, to put it kindly. I'd like to say that my truck drew first blood this day, but I'd be lying; I'm pretty sure that was a while back on another project.

If you follow the install videos and pull open the panel around the shifter, then reach underneath, there are two identical connectors, one for the top row of buttons, one for the bottom row. The connector for the bottom row is in the way of being able to easily reach the top connector. The connector that plugs into the button panel in the dash has a small, but covered, tab that you have to push in, while gently pulling the connector to disconnect it.

I fought the connectors for a bit but just could not get my hands under the panel in a way that would allow me to disconnect the top connector. I realized that the lower dash panel, the one with the 12v marine plugs, is preventing me from opening the shifter panel up all the way. So, I regrouped and decided that my best option would be to remove the lower dash panel. Having previously watched the Lightforce Switch Facia install video, that shows how to remove the lower dash panel, I knew this would be reasonably easy.

So, I removed the lower dash panel like the video shows and set it aside. This allowed me to get both of my hands under the shifter panel in a way to easily disconnect the button connector. 5 minutes later and I had the Autostop Eliminator installed and all panels back in place; you can't even tell I was in there mucking around.

Now, I know there are free and easier ways to deal with the Autostartstop function on our Rangers, but this was the best choice for me. There are times when I am okay with the autostopstart working, and times when it annoys me, this allows me to better chose when it's on or off.

PS: if you don't have a 7mm socket, used to remove the lower dash panel, a 9/32 will also work.
This way, the 'Auto Stall' function is available at the touch of a button. Unwanted? Touch the button again. Very pleased with my Auto Stop Eliminator. My 2020 Chrysler doesn't have the Auto Stall function - thrilled me to pieces.

Any draw like running the AC or a nightlight will disable it. There's just enough from the nightlight and the outlet shuts down in 15-20 minutes after turning the truck off.
Day of delivery, I drove home through a thunderstorm - lights, a/c and wipers on. Lariat shut off at every light, some were rather long. A/C would often begin blowing warm, humid air before the traffic began moving again.

Quicky realized this wouldn't work. Then, forgetting to turn the function off after leaving the house. Most everyone riding with me thought the worst. Auto Stop Eliminator was installed not long after.

I ordered a '23 XLT this week. I was advised that auto start/stop is a constraint at the factory and is not being installed. Even got $50 of MSRP as a result.

I bought mine the end of July so the ac was always on and the ASS never worked. Then one day in Oct. ( I forgot about the ASS) the truck died at the stop sign and I thought something was wrong. lol I found out about the nightlight and have been using it for 3 years now. I'm surprised the ac dint shut yours down?

Seems like I read earlier the condition of the battery also determines the functionality. I also noticed the door touch lock/unlock system stops functioning when Ranger isn't driven on a regular basis - Lariat still starts normally and the FOB still works normally. Plug the battery tender up overnight and everything is restored.

That's how I first noticed my battery was low. I went to open the door with the door touch wouldn't work. The original battery only lasted me 18 months and luckily they replaced it under warranty. After getting the maintainer and now using it regularly everything works perfect. The heat here is brutal on batteries.
