So i just hooked up my stereo a few days ago. Changed out all the door speakers with aftermarket pioneer's. Mids and tweeters up front, 4 ways in the back. I also have a 10in sub behind the passenger seat. 4 channel powering the door speakers. Mono amp powering the sub. As you can see i have the lc2i pro. To hook it up to the factory stereo, i used a PAC wiring harness so no wires were spliced into. I have a hissing sound when no audio is on coming from the tweeters, and when i open the door when key is off, there is a slight buzz just for a second or 2. I am thinking that is because my loc is attached directly to the metal of the truck? I will be putting in rubber spacers soon. But my main problem is that i think that the system is louder when im at a stop than it is when driving. I know road noise comes into play, but im not traveling at high speeds where it would be really noisy. I might just be crazy, but im wondering if any of you guys had the same problem? Could there be issues with using the wiring harness instead of splicing into the wires? I also see alot of comments about forescan. Is that something i need to think about also? I know wires are sloppy, they will be cleaned up soon also.
