It seems crew cab have been flying off the line and super cab have had some crazy delays
It probably comes down to demand and stamping the sheet metal. If there is little demand for that style they probably wait until there are enough orders to make it worth while to stamp Super Cab body panels.

Just got my second Ford email pushing the arrival estimate out another two weeks, so now it says 4/30-5/6. Truck was built 3/23, still “awaiting shipment”.
That sucks. I've only gotten one push back email so far, 4/15-4/21. We all know that's not happening ,so I assume I'll get another email in a week or two.

Just got two emails from FoMoCo about it being built and also being shipped, with expected arrival the second week of May.

It is a S.Crew model and given that’s often the popular model, probably why things are moving quickly.

I just went through the scheduling manifesto someone shared. Based on what I read through, the next batch is going to be produced from end of May to end of June, then it will most likely be a 3-4 week pause, then back at it again.

Something tells me a lot of the folks who ordered Mid-Late December and Early January will be going into production in that May-June window. This is based on a estimate of August for my truck and just a quick analysis of production dates and cVelBlu91 saying his rig is in production right now
My original order was placed mid January and was delivered 04/14. So based on those numbers, exactly 3 months from start to finish.

To add fuel to my rising frustration, I just found two more Rangers sitting on local lots that were built after my order, but the kicker is one has an April 1st blend date on the sticker. So either our trucks have an issue or missing component keeping them from shipping, or, they are grabbing whatever trucks are easiest to get to from storage and not giving a sh*t about the order they were built. I haven't been waiting as long as many, but it is disappointing if they can't ship products out in the order they were manufactured.

The dealership's body shop is not something I was going to chance. :ontheloo::lipssealed:

Since the dealer only gave me a slight break in the initial order of the the vehicle (little under MSRP), add the fact the deleted parts from FORD, add the waiting, add the dealer trying to pass damage off vehicle as "no biggie"...I chose to walk away from the "deal".

Since this was the first time I ever paid close to MSRP and ever ordered a new vehicle, my standards and expectations were high. Had this vehicle been sitting on the lot and WAYYYY lower in price...I would contemplate the repaint...maybe. But that would be a different scenario.

If you ever ordered any new appliances and them delivered to your home, only to find out it had a huge dent...would you except it? Depends, right? Will manufacturer replace panel? Will they give you discount off the price if the the dent is on the side where no one will really see it? Or will you just not accept delivery and get a replacement? Same scenario here...just paying a lot more money for a bigger product!

So me personally, I decided to walk away. If I'm paying full boat for a new car, I expect and DEMAND perfection, period. I have yet to find a very good body shop in our area. I was a detail technician for a decent body shop, and can spot garbage a mile a away. Unfortunately, that is also a burden when I have to deal with it on my personal vehicles. But thats on me. My standards are high when it comes to body work/paint. And while I only observed a few factory paint defects which I was completely fine with, the actual damaged parts were the issue. I still don't even know how many miles were on it, or if all the features inside were there as we didn't even get that far:frown:

Wasn't planning on logging in today, but I got so used to checking vehicle status and checking the forum everyday, I guess it felt weird to NOT.

So if anyone sees my vehicle in the Chicagoland, Illinois area...check that paint work out before you buy, and make sure you get a good deal. The VIN ends in .........7859
So after a week I noticed the original ordered vehicle has been sitting on the dealer lot...and has not moved.
Appears the dealer has not repaired the hood yet, and is gambling with just putting it out in the lot. I hope it sits out there for a while. Idiots!!

Maybe they’re in a pissing match with who’s going to pay for repairs ( Ford/transport co.)

They haven't tried to call. They know I was disappointed with the whole situation. I'm sure they think they can flip it for more $$ now. Kinda hard to flip it for THAT much more with three other used Rangers on the lot with crazy pricing
But whatever. Moving forward. Lesson learned ;)

It would be nice to know what parts cause the slow downs and that probably varies over time. My Supercab's a simple 2-wheel drive XL with 101A and a tow package, so pretty minimal compared to many.

I ordered 1/27 and got order confirmation 1/28 but then added the 101A to it on 2/15 and got another order confirmation 2/15, in production 4/13, built 4/18 and awaiting shipment. The Ford email says delivery between 4/28 and 5/4 but my sales guy thinks it'll be the second week of May.

BUT ... I'm not holding my breath on that final date—train and transport truck shortages seem to swing wildly.

Better update your profile since it's no longer on order! Congratulations! =)

Burn some rubber for the rest of us waiting (LOL, do people still say "burn rubber"?). =D

Hint: Stop driving by the dealership if it tweaks you that much. Unless it’s next door to your residence.

I think the better cut off is mid late Jan to Feb. I ordered 1/3 and I'm listed in production. Few others here with same order/blend time frame.

I did notice that the production number on my window sticker was just one of 168 built that week. Maybe I was just on the tail end ?
So where do you look to see the number built that week? I'm sure I'll feel like a dope when you tell me, but I don't see anything that springs out at me on my sticker.
