First time here. Just placed my order April 18th for a blue lariat crewcab 4x4 sport with tow and 501A. Lucky for me, I currently live in VA and moving to Cape Cod area end of June, so I placed my build with a dealership up there and don't mind the wait. I'm sure I'll get more anxious when I'm there, but I'm hoping since I don't have a crazy build it could be on the shorter end of maybe 3-4 months. Glad to be here!
Welcome aboard Chief, Good luck on the build.

I ordered and received Ford confirmation email on March 21. Its April 20 as I write this and I've not received my VIN and build date email. I hope I get it in a day or so, it seems many receive their VIN/build date a month after order confirmation.

I also notice an average of ~3 months from order confirmation to build date, then another month after for delivery. So, I'm guessing, best case scenario I'll get my Ranger 4 months out from March 21, so end of July. Prepared for August though, hopefully at latest.

Most the horror stories I've read are from folks who ordered in fall, winter of 2021. This must've been the apex of supply chain woes. I really wanted a truck before summer, but I don't think that's in the cards.

In a few years from now, I wonder if I'll kick myself for not holding out for a 2023. Its supposedly bigger widthwise and maybe lengthwise - I don't want that. More up to date interior, bigger touchscreen - I'd probably like that. Small pee-pee 'manly' front end update - I don't like the trend. More motors - I'm fine with 2.3. I imagine the 2023 will come with a decent price hike, I certainly don't want that. I think I should be happy with a 2022 for a long time. I've got a track record of keeping my vehicles for a decade, so I hope I'm happy with it.
My understanding is that Ford decides which models they will schedule for builds on Friday, and the actual order scheduling gets released on the following Thursday and Friday (I got my email on F).

Last Friday notes say that rangers this week will be scheduled for build dates up to end of June.
You can find these notes in this forum if you scroll a bit:
https://blueovalforums.com/forums/i...oduction-week-scheduling-information/&page=32

scrolling through the page, it seems Ford only schedules builds for Rangers every 3-4 weeks.

Just noticed mine has gone straight to "In Transit" today after only showing "In Production" this morning.

So now I wait for shipping details. And based on the commentary here lately, shipping details are far and few between lately.

I am surprised its taking ford so long to even accept orders. Mine was ordered dec 29th and about 3 weeks later I got my VIN with Production Date. They come together but lately they have not be making any rangers for the last several weeks. Hope alot of you get scheduled soon. I think someone posted there is a block of 5 weeks to produce rangers coming up.

Your about 2 weeks out hang in there
Well I've been trying but I'm also tired of dropping $600 a month on a truck I've been waiting to trade in for 7 months.

Next payment is due on the 1st, I rather not drop that THEN trade it in just days later...

My trucks shipping via truck not rail, shouldn't be taking this long. Both trackers still show "Awaiting shipment".

That's crazy. And here I am, over a month past blend date and still "awaiting shipping".

Given that dates have appeared on the Ford tracking site status bar indicating an actual update, followed by a checkmark, something tells me it'll be awhile before I see anything indicating a shipping date, if at all. Especially given how much of a mixed bag this experience has been for literally everyone else who's posted here so far.

That said, if I get this truck by the end of May I will truly be shocked, especially since there are members here still waiting since last year for theirs.

I just went through the scheduling manifesto someone shared. Based on what I read through, the next batch is going to be produced from end of May to end of June, then it will most likely be a 3-4 week pause, then back at it again.

Something tells me a lot of the folks who ordered Mid-Late December and Early January will be going into production in that May-June window. This is based on a estimate of August for my truck and just a quick analysis of production dates and cVelBlu91 saying his rig is in production right now

The biggest bottleneck for Ranger production right now is the Bronco. I totally understand why they are running a much higher percentage of Broncos down the line right now vs Rangers because they are so backlogged on orders. At one time they said the line mix would be 60% Bronco and 40% Ranger, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's closer to 70% Bronco and 30% Ranger now.

I think the better cut off is mid late Jan to Feb. I ordered 1/3 and I'm listed in production. Few others here with same order/blend time frame.

I did notice that the production number on my window sticker was just one of 168 built that week. Maybe I was just on the tail end ?

Just got my second Ford email pushing the arrival estimate out another two weeks, so now it says 4/30-5/6. Truck was built 3/23, still “awaiting shipment”.

I ordered the end of December and mine was built March 10th.

It seems crew cab have been flying off the line and super cab have had some crazy delays
Something tells me the SCREWs have been the more popular option thus the production capacity

Regardless, this is an exciting process to watch. Here's to hoping they keep moving steadily
