So uh. This is not good. FORScan can no longer be purchased. I don't foresee this changing any time soon, so, yeah. Quite possibly RIP FORScan

EDIT: as of 4/21/22 single year licenses can now be purchased again

This appears to be fallout from all the sanctions due to the Ukranian situation. I did a little googling and this thread is interesting:

https://forscan.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=68348

It does appear it was written by a Russian originally.

I guess time will tell if it kills FORScan or if it is just until the sanctions get lifted.

Wow! I just, five days ago, got a temporary subscription to see if it was usable on my 2004 Excursion. Very limited due to the 2004 vintage but did support adjustment for 4.88 gears and 35 inch tires. I used it on my Ranger with great results.
Crazy times we've chosen to exist in.

Anyone know if the 2 month licenses are still good to go?

I don't know, but I feel like they would or should be okay. I'm guessing the issue is with the purchasing and transferring funds. If you still use the free version, there is no money exchange and nothing to sanction. 100% speculation though. Hopefully Forscan survives with everything going on but only time will tell.

Retired, work is a four letter word.
At first I thought this was an April fools gag as it was dated April 1 on the original post, and had spelling errors in the second, I have a paid lifetime license so won't affect my app.
I am a MAC guy but use the full windows version in Bootcamp, which you can still get as this only affects IOS & Apple.

I requested a 2 month license and they sent one, so for now that seems to be an option. Although I don't know how long they'll support forscan if they can't make any money on it. I don't foresee any sort of banking sanctions being removed from Russia ANY time soon.

I got a two month license this week as well. Did the ABS bleed (?), but haven’t played around with anything else yet.

What!? I just got my truck today. I saw someone say they just got a license....should I look into getting it started tonight or is it already too late? I bought the cable off Amazon a couple weeks ago.

Ugh. I use a Mac and iPhone. I bought the OBDLink MX+ adapter already but have not downloaded the app. If I read this correctly, I am screwed.

Is this the only app on the market that will let you make configuration changes?

There are lots of ways to run Windows programs on a Mac.

Yep, just download Windows 10 to a flash drive (don't even need to buy it) and install it using Bootcamp on the MAC. I have been dual-booting into windows on my MAC for years, several devices I use require windows to configure them.
