Why do you say 'avoid Icon'? I've been looking between Icon and OME leaves, but I don't want to raise the rear.
Probably because they aren't a paid sponsor of his. ;)

Rampant quality issues, poor design. My shocks leaked from day one, then when I eventually took the system off, I found this:

Old Man Emu has been making high quality suspension systems for like 40 years, specifically for the purposes of carrying weight off-road. I've got a similar setup to the OP (GFC, Decked, Rear bumper w/swingout), and the OME medium rate springs are perfection.

If I had constant weight on the truck I’d go leaf springs. Occasional weight I’d go air bags with that off road lower bucket.

I have to disagree a little bit. Even I was going for Overlanding/touring with my truck and there were still trails I hit where a leaf spring upgrade was the way to go. Was I trying to go for stupid complicated rock crawling and obstacles? No but it doesnt mean the trail will have some sort of obstacle.
Very fair point. I would err on the side of caution as well, and personally never go bags if I was doing any off-roading. Too much risk for me for no performance gain other than leveling a load.

I should update and say "probably" be fine

Airbags address a symptom, not the problem.

If you're sagging, the problem is too light a spring rate. Your truck will handle better, be safer, ride better etc etc etc etc if you just fix the problem with the correct springs.

Yeah and unfortunately anyone on here that did a leveling kit will disagree with you. I am with you 100% on this.

I have a stock 2019 FX4 daily driver with a RSI Cap and RTT ( tent and camping geat not on all the time).
With all gear ond tent on pretty well maxed out payload limit and sags pretty bad - i did try some Timbren bump stops which helped when loaded but dont think is the best solution yet.
Several shops recommended Icon leaf pack and another suggest bags?
Like i said basically stock and dont do any much rough trails mainly forestry roads and easy trails as usually alone with no winch Anyone have a solution?
My simple reply is with constant added weight a leaf spring would be my suggestion.

The airbag kits are nice when you are towing or hauling occasionally and are often driving around with the truck unloaded.

I have the rear Firestone Airbag kit purchased used but in the box from a member here and am Very happy with them. Able to level the truck no matter what the load is.
Hi Adam...Did you install the Firestones yourself? I am wondering if you ran into an issue with the bottom bracket fitting over the bumper plate? On my truck, there is a plastic piece under the plate that extends a 1/4" on each side that interferes with the bracket fitting. I'm pretty new to doing this kind of work and I'm not sure what that piece is really for, it does not appear in the installation diagram.

Yes I installed them myself. Yes if I remember I had to grind that plastic just a bit for the plate to sit down properly.

That plastic piece is literally just holding the ubolts in place for assembly. Once tight they're pretty useless.

Got that piece out of the way, and now it seems like the bolts for the bottom bracket aren't long enough. Also not liking how they fit in general. Starting to think it's not quite right for the Tremor suspension? Springs a little thicker? Don't know. Might be rethinking this approach.

In my experience Air Bags are a poor fix that negatively affect ride quality, articulation and capability. Deaver Spring in Southern CA have been building custom off-road suspensions for a very long time and I have put their spring packs on my last three truck builds. They produce two Progressive Leaf Spring kits for our Rangers, Standard and HD. My Super Pacific camper and typical camping gear/water payload averages 510-580 lbs. I went with the HD option and am very happy with the Deaver product. This leaf pack is NOT designed to lift the truck. It is engineered to retain factory ride height with improved ride quality.

Ok, I'm sure you have a lot of experience off-roading but your first sentence is false. For what you do; sure, they may not be a good solution. However, for others they are a great solution. I have the Firestone Airbag kit and I can have a good unloaded ride and also have my truck STAY LEVEL when towing my camper. No they don't give me more capability and Yes they would limit articulation if I did Rock Crawling (I would put that Crawling kit on them if I did that). When I am unloaded and I put them at 5 psi you would never know they are there. Would I still like to have some good Devers or ROW leaf packs on my truck? Yes I would, but I might still run these Stones.
