No issue for me. And this is not a common issue.I bought a 2022 tremor xlt on Feb 22nd (about 10 days ago) and the truck threw the powertrain malfunction code on the way home from the dealership. I took the truck to a local dealer to have it looked at. The few dealership service centers near me told me it would be a month before they could even look at it, but Billy Howell Ford got me in the following day thankfully.
They said it was the turbo waste gate, which they replaced a few days later however it did not resolve the issue. They are now replacing the entire turbo and we are waiting on parts. I should have the truck back by early next week. Luckily, they had a loaner vehicle so I have something to drive while we wait.
They did not indicate that this was common, however they had a new Bronco in for a similar issue. Another member on this forum is dealing with a similar issue with his 2022 truck, and as mentioned in his thread, I also wonder if the turbo part is from a different manufacturer than previous years as I cannot find any similar problems mentioned with owners of the 2019-2021 trucks.
Anyone else having turbo related issues? I hope that this is sorted with the new turbo and not an ongoing failure part.
Sucks, but you got bad hardware. It happens. That is the purpose of the warranty. No such thing as zero defects.
One other member on a forum does not equal a common problem.
You will get a new turbo, and 99.9% chance you wont see another issue with it.
