I just realized my gas pedal has no rubber pad on it. Is that normal? I guess I just never paid much attention to the pedals on this or previous cars.

Mine didn't come with one on it. The brake has a rubber pad on it.
I had to go out and look myself, don't have one either. Funny in the almost 3 years I've owned it I never noticed this.

Now a days the gas/throttle pedal is sinply plastic with no cover. Just hay the drive by wire systems are being made across the board. If you get a fancy exotic it may be different but I dont know for sure.

Mine has no rubber pad, but the plastic pedal. Never noticed it before and like Dave, I've had my truck almost 3 years now. Here is what mine looks like:

Mine has no rubber pad, but the plastic pedal. Never noticed it before and like Dave, I've had my truck almost 3 years now. Here is what mine looks like:

Ohh, that might have been what I was seeing. I thought we were talking bare metal, looked to see a black pedal and figured it was rubber. Did not touch to confirm. Will report back later.

Mine is definitely not bare metal. It has plastic/rubber on it. I just detailed my truck and cleaned my pedals
