Best sounding exhaust options?

I have the MBRP turn down exhaust installed on mine. Great sound, not too loud, but enough to let you know its there. I noticed that truck drives a lot better now and I get better MPG's too. Super easy install as well.

Do you happen to have a sound clip of this exhaust? I am considering the same, but want an idea of what it will sound like.

Ok, I Just installed it and it is much louder than i imagined. I am ordering a 3" Vibrant resonator to install between the front pipe and the MBRP muffler/resonator. It is very loud, with drone. Sounds good though, deep but not rice burner at all.. And you get a lot more turbo noise.

Update 2: After driving the truck some more last night and this morning I decided to take it to a muffler shop instead of waiting on the Vibrant from Amazon. I had them install a 24" baffled muffler between the front pipe and the MBRP resonator and now it is a more reasonable exhaust note. Still a small amount of drone but no more than the wind/tire noise on the highway. And I am less likely to make my neighbors hate me. Just the MBRP system is LOUD, my neighbor though someone stole my converter overnight, if that gives you an idea.

I think the Magnaflow is one of the best. Most of the others unfortunately sound like a pack of elves farting in a tin can.

Are you refering to the rear or side exit systems? The dump MBRP exhaust is loud AF, Legit sounds like there is no exhaust. You can hear is 4 or 5 streets away. lol

After having it for a few weeks and about 1,000 miles through it, I still like it and it is getting deeper as it gets broken in. I'll get some more videos up soon. BOLD-Performance wants me to get a youtube video up with a full review. Its a nice setup...

We have something worked out for compensation.

Its 399 bucks. I dont think they would give a "steep" discount but I can ask them if they'd be willing to do something for the community, but it won't be worth it for them if only 1 guy buys one.

So my Ranger is too quiet.

I've been looking at cat back kits online, but its hard to know what actually sounds good and what just is meh! Doesn't have to be a catback though since technically we have no emissions laws or testing here.

I've seen these AFE and MBRP kits for as low as $400-$450ish, then like a Magnaflow or Flowmaster kits in the 550-600 range, with Borla in the $800 and then Fords "factory performance kit" for like $1100.

So anyone tried any, gotten a good tone out of it. I know I wont get that nice deep V8 rumble, but I definitely do not want a Honda Fart Can whistle!!!!

Also has anyone seen any other improvements with exhaust systems, more seat of the pants power, actual dyno numbers, mpg increases or etc?

Spoiler...they all sound like four bangers...I lost the weight of the OEM with MBRP...little rumble at startup but otherwise not much more during WOT...which is good because a loud 4 banger will just sound just like a Honda fart can...

It's actually on my short list of what's next because of your post. All of the youtube videos have where they open the box and see whats inside. They need to send you a new kit to open and look at, then you can sent it to your nearest neighbor that wants to buy one ?

I had the 1-ton muffler removed from my XLT (replaced with straight pipe) and put on a nice exhaust tip.
It sounds great and my wallet thanked me.
