Yes the truck has soft suspension, guess what you will liveI have a 2021 Ford Ranger and after my lift was done I found out there was a factory defect that caused a lean on the left rear. My lean is resulting in the right rear being 3/4" higher than the left rear. Supposedly the lean is because because of the gas tank but never the less Fords poor attempt to fix it was to put a 1/4" leaf spring plate in which did basically nothing. Also ReadyLift knew of this defect but said nothing and still sold the lift kit. This is a Ford factory defect causing cosmetic, mechanical, and safety issues that has not been completely addressed and fixed by Ford. If anyone is interested in pursuing a class action lawsuit please let me know. I want to see if there is any interest. I for one am spending a chunk of money trying to get this defect fixed and my truck level in the rear.
This. VW had a timing tensioner that would fail and obviously if it did, catastrophic damage was done to the engine. It effected all VW 2.0 engines built across several years and effecting almost all VW and Audi models. The problem was that because their was a class action suit, the court ruled that VW had to replace the tensioner and timing chain in every 2.0 engine built in the timeframe in question, and give an extended warranty. Sounds great. Except it took so long to get that judgement that most vehicles were already past the mileage restriction set in the judgement to be eligible. I would expect this to play out the same way. Even in the unlikely event a lawsuit is heard and won, it'll take so long to settle that most of us will have either sold, wrecked, or fixed the truck by then.Rotes of Ruck folks..
Even if a class action suite were to end in your favor, it will be years before any $$$ is doled out or repairs are done. Your Ranger will likely be on it's second or third owner.
Also, the day the lawsuit is filed, Ford will stop talking about or doing anything to help you until the suit is taken care of....they will not even comment on it.
Your best bet is to file complaints with NHTSA....if they get enough complaints they can intervein and get something done a lot quicker if it turns out to be a safety concern.
Might go along with your other lean there KJ?Mine has a lean. I'm trying to come up with a catchy name for it like the Carolina squat and have it become a trend. In the meantime, it helps water drain off the bed cover.
Maybe when the late night commercials say I may be eligible for a payout, I'll jump in.
What do you think of "the lefty lean"? Pretty catchy I think.
?
My XLT leans a bit to the left but thatās because Iāve packed on a few too many COVID calories over the past two years. My wife hasnāt kept up, so, yeah, it leans.Mine has a lean. Thanks for the infoyou might want to look into ordering some of Fords "fix" leaf spring plates. your local ford dealer can order them. i ordered two from memphis, tn factory. you could have ford put one or two on your left rear depending on how bad your lean is
