I sure wouldn't want to pay to have fixed, if it was not normal, posed danger or of the like...

Good to know that there is a posssible fix though.
Warranty should cover this right?

Do you really think a lawyer is going to get rich off of this particular case if it even becomes a class action suit ? I'm skeptical.
All I'm saying is IF a lawyer takes the case and wins, he'll be the only one benefiting from it. Maybe rich wasn't the right terminology (he's not going to retire from it lol) but they will end up with considerable more money than all those that rightfully deserve it.

you might want to look into ordering some of Fords "fix" leaf spring plates. your local ford dealer can order them. i ordered two from memphis, tn factory. you could have ford put one or two on your left rear depending on how bad your lean is

***the factory leaf spring plate "fix" is part#: KB3Z5798A $68.00 a piece
I'ma call my dealer, ( after I eat some crawfish ettouffe. ?) my warranty should cover this.

I'd accept any size settlement from class action suits as they typically cost nothing to join, the best payout I ever received was some yrs back was ~ $24.00 from a class action suit when Beck's beer was purchased by inbev and began to brew it in Toronto while leading customers to believe it was brewed in Germany. And it wasn't the same beer. I just put in for the max amount and voila received my comp. , no proof of purchase required.
As a owner of a Hyundai with a really lame failure prone engine - owners such as I get a free lifetime engine replacement if theirs fails as a result of a class action suit. So I'm ok with lawyers making some money from the suit because without it Hyundai would likely just jerk owners around.

Retired from Honda Racing.
This has been a problem for many years, all of the driver controls and fuel tank on the same side.
You can either change spring heights, or install shims/spacers on the heavier side of the vehicle until it's level.
Ford tried with a shim in the rear, it needed to be thicker.
A front shim/spacer is needed to completely level the vehicle.

Ok, devil’s advocate here. Are owners that put on aftermarket leafs or the European ones seeing the same leaning issues? I seem to recall some photos of leafs taken off that had + or - or nothing at all to show the height of the leaf springs. So droop side would get a plus and a shim if needed and passenger side would get a - or neutral leaf. Take a look at your marks. Could be they’re inverted.

I would take it to the dealer, go through the steps to have it resolved. I can absolutely understand your frustrations but a law suit for this is going no where fast.

I agree a lawsuit would more than likely be fruitless and just knock on the door of Ford. Why dont we get a petition/request going to send to Ford so maybe they will finally come up with a fix. Not wanting to piss off Ford customers and keep them happy would seem ideal for Ford. Especially with the new Ranger Raptor coming out....
Hi Kevin,

Your first step is to open up a formal complaint with Ford Customer Care. If you do not do this..you are standing on very thin ice... At least you will have taken the first step

To all Forum Members.....if you have this conern, open up a formal complaint too. The more complaints they receive the more likely they are going to be forced to take remedial action.

Best,
Phil

My experience is Ford allows a difference of 1/2 inch between left and right side. They call this within specifications. I fixed mine myself when I fixed the dealer screwup from when they did the axle shims to adjust the pinion angle for TSB 20-2277

I agree it costs nothing to join them and that's pretty good and very rare. All the ones I've done (and friends have done) only netted us small payouts. Good for you for finally cashing in on one of these! :like:

Rotes of Ruck folks..
Even if a class action suite were to end in your favor, it will be years before any $$$ is doled out or repairs are done. Your Ranger will likely be on it's second or third owner.
Also, the day the lawsuit is filed, Ford will stop talking about or doing anything to help you until the suit is taken care of....they will not even comment on it.
Your best bet is to file complaints with NHTSA....if they get enough complaints they can intervein and get something done a lot quicker if it turns out to be a safety concern.

One I was in, I was put in automatically, as I owned a stock in question. They mis stated it's worth in some way, causing the stock price to change. I recieved .14, but the lawyers recieved 10's of millions...
When reading the settlement payout, only the lawyers and the person who started the lawsuit made any real money. Everyone else recieved less than $2

My truck leans. Now I know why. I thought I F'd something up driving it hard. It bugged me for the longest time too. I've learned to live with it. Not saying that everyone should have to though.
