I don't know why everyone gives you a hard time about parking crooked. It looks just fine to me from western Arizona
Come on down to the west valley Jeff. You can see from here how crooked she parks. :inspect:?

Dave, Great looking jeep! I hope you have a lot of fun with it!!
Thanks Erik! I haven't really been off road with it yet but I'm hoping to get up to Sedona next month and do some off roading there.

I fired up Forscan today and enabled "Bambi Mode" and did the ABS reset. (Made an amazing difference in pedal feel) I looked at disabling the auto start stop, but that also turns off the Battery Management System... I'm going to have to research and think about that one.

I'd agree if Phil had anything to do with the 5g.
True enough - I was really just thinking of Phil’s earlier story of Ford’s northern cold testing facility - my garage feels like that sometimes.

MY garage feels like that sometimes and I'm quite a few hundred miles south of you.

I figured radiant heat flooring would be standard up there. I run 2 electric space heaters and a propane burner when I'm working out in the garage in the winter. Been thinking about a real heater out there. My gas line runs through the attic above the garage. Wouldn't be too difficult I think.

Might be a dumb question, but how does having a windshield tint affect the ability to put park pass stickers and crap like that, that they tell you to put on the inside of the windshield?
I don't live where I have to worry about inside stickers, so that wasn't an issue. The tint itself is minimal, but the big deal is the heat reflectivity. It gets danged hot here in PHX, and that's why I had the film put on the windshield too. Even in non summer times I can feel the difference.

I’ve had a couple of homes with heated garages - loved having that feature. With the gas line already in place, you’re at a good starting point. As long as it’s simple enough to vent the exhaust properly, it should be easy. I kept the temp lower than the house and would crank it up before working out there.

Your radiant heated floor idea sure would be nice when crawling under the truck. I plan on building a garage at my cottage one day - going to steal that idea for sure.

No pictures yet but made appointment to getthe front windows tinted (same as stock rears). Will post when its done next Saturday.
May I humbly suggest a 5% brow on the front windshield? It's really not noticeable that it'll be darker, but when the sun is in front of you it's much nicer. Seems like the windshield on these trucks go up higher than they should to me.

+100 on this, I just had this (6" strip) done on my Jeep. I have very sensitive eyes and always wear good sunglasses but this really helps cut down on the glare. It was a little weird looking out at first because the Jeeps windshield is a lot smaller than the Ranger but I would highly recommend getting this done.
