I got quoted $475 to put in the FP Fox 2.0 level. Seems worth it to me to re-adjust the headlights, adaptive cruise, and give it a full alignment, plus the few hours of install and maintain factory warranty and ESP.

I want to find this out as well. I was quoted $2800 for the ford/fox 2.0 and an additional $900 for install!

My dealer quoted me $2000 + HST for the ford/fox 2.0 and $750 for install including alignment. I ended up purchasing from Levittown in the states and saved quite a bit. Got it installed at the dealer.

Really?! What was their reaction when you brought the kit in? Is your new suspension honored by the warranty? Did that include the alignment and headlight adjustment?

They had no issue installing the kit purchased somewhere else. Levittown is an authorized ford parts dealer and with the installation at my local dealer, it's all covered under the warranty. They did the alignment but not the headlight adjustment. I ended up doing that myself which is pretty straight forward

So...I was quoted $2,600 to do the Fox 2.0, etc from the dealer. I opted to do it myself for $1,100. It arrived 1 day after I ordered it from Stage3, to my surprise. I rented a 35mm socket for the axle (thank you all you great people warning others of the CV potential destruction!!). First side was a little frustrating, but the other side went very smooth once I knew all the 'tricks'. Truck drives GREAT!
When I went to the alignment shop this morning, they were unable to do the alignment, due to the fact that their computer does not have the 2021 specs loaded in their machine. So, off the the dealer I went. When the service manager / tech went out to my truck to look at the VIN, I explained why I was there.
He said (to my best recollection):
"I wouldn't align it if I were you. We install those level kits all the time and never realign the vehicles afterwards. If the steering wheel is 'straight' and it drives well, don't mess with it. The level kits (Fox) shouldn't actually affect steering because of the way the spring sits / pushes the UCA upwards". If anything, you could make the alignment worse.
Seem legit????

My understanding is that whenever you replace wheels, tires, suspension you should always get an alignment. I had the fox 2.0 fp installed at the dealer and they performed an alignment. Drives great.

I was surprised at how little the Ford/Fox kit affected my alignment.
here are the numbers from my alignment after I installed the kit myself.

Hilarious. I broke down and got an alignment. Why would you trust ANYTHING that someone from the 'dealership' says??? Do they ever tell the truth?

It is interesting to me they talked you OUT of something. Every time I go to the service dept they always try to sell me an alignment. regardless of why I am there.
The second interesting thing is your numbers were identical to mine.

no, I did it myself, granted I am a mechanic, it took only 2 .5 hours. 3.5 hours with an alignment would be fair, 8 hours is a rip off

It was 5 hours to install the Fox kit that I provided at a local Ford Truck dealer.

To be fair, that was a misquote for what they thought was a coilover service. The install only took about 5 hours in total with alignment.
Any photos of your Ranger with the Fox 2.0? I really like the composed feel it has now. Like everyone else has said; it's a very worthy upgrade.
