Try contacting DR. They include the front hitch now with the Red-Plow. Not sure if it's "legit" or not. Maybe they can sell it separately.
All I mean is stout enough to winch off of. I find a cradle mounted winch that can be moved front or rear, and vehicle to vehicle, to be the most useful.

There have been a few installed around here, but none stout enough to winch off of. Either that or they hang way down and out from the truck.

A reciever right where the ACC sensor is would be nice.

I wish 589fab would build one similar to their winch mount as an alternative.

My only option might be a custom hitch shop, which I've yet to explore.

They are not very common. They originated in North Dakota under the Snowsport brand. Then DR started selling them as the Redi-Plow. But include the front hitch with theirs. I got mine a lot cheaper and without the front hitch. But it suits me just fine. This is the third vehicle I've used it on.
I'd love to see a video of it in action!

Well "drive around" is a little misleading. It has a stow mode until your ready to push snow, and I only do mine and two neighbors short driveways. It can go on a front hitch if I had one. It's really quite handy. And a lot cheaper than a regular plow. I only use it a couple of times a year here in Va.
Probably easier with the camera in reverse...hard to see plow in front plow because of the hood,,,

Me too! I’m really impressed with the thinking behind this plow (or is it plough?). For light duty, I can see this being a great thing to have, especially with our backup cameras.

I hope the OP can enlist the neighbour’s help to make a video - seems like he owes him one.

You make a good point. This is the first vehicle with a rear camera that I have scraped snow with. It did come in handy, except for the annoying beeping because the blade being an "obstacle."

You can turn off the alarm with the button on the console in front of the shifter...

BTW, what kind of plow is that? Does it have any power lift or tilt?

Well DR has a video of it in action on the front. There used to be a video of the original mfg of it on the rear. I'll see if it's still out there.

Oh Lord, two Sgt.'s in the same post. I know how you old Sgt's are as I is one myself. Maybe we can delegate the problem to a rookie. :)
Count me in as retired Sergeant #4 then. Retired just before I could promote to LT due to changes in pension formula. Wonder how many more of us are on here?

Seems there are more than I thought brother. Like you I turned down the LT position. My reason was I just wasn't that political, and knew I wouldn't fit into that role. I was happy in my rocking chair, if you know what I mean. I was a Detective Sgt., and it just didn't get any better than that. :)

Spent my last 4 as a road Sgt., squad of 9 ofc and a cpl.
Best job when you have a good squad. Minor headaches for sure, but none of the paperwork that a Lt has. That and as you know, non political...no ass smooching.

A damper would have probably helped...

HAHAHA...I set a new record...2 minutes and one post to get to "THE DAMPER" !!!!

I love how the times have changed. When I use to bring up the damper in every thread some would give me a hard time. Now it's unheard of if it's not brought up within the first page! ? This will live on long after the 5G Ranger is dead and gone!?

LLTD ?

Long Live The Damper!
