You can turn off the alarm with the button on the console in front of the shifter...

BTW, what kind of plow is that? Does it have any power lift or tilt?
It is a Snow Sport HD. No hydraulics, this model does have three swivel settings. When it is pushing, the blade goes erect. When going forward, it drops down and drags over the snow. When not in use, you lift into the stow position. Looks like they sell them just for the front now, although you can get a cheaper version for the rear still. DR also markets them. Just a simple affordable solution for those who only need to push snow every once in a while.

Do not overdo it, the reverse is a sensitive gear. It was not designed to withstand load. That’s why you should never ever tow or rescue in reverse.

So James, let me see if I understand. That there white stuff is what they call snow, right? Living in the south it's something I've heard of, so I just wanted to make sure. :)

BTW, like others I've never seen one that works on a trailer hitch.
He is in Virginia. In New England (New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Maine) we only have a little snow in the mountains. and have had less overall snow than Virginia has had.

Welcome to climate change.

Sounds like he needs to drive out to I-95 and help out. Looks like a mess out there.

In all my years of living in winter wonderlands, I've never seen a butt-mounted snow plow.
My neighbor had one but it mounted to the back of a 3 cyl Ford tractor 3 point system

My reason was I just wasn't that political,
I'm friends with the local chief of police. He's a coast guard vet an talks like a navy vet. He ended up in sensitivity training in less than 2 years. Guess when the patrolmen are bitching you can't call them a bunch of F'ing Homo's any longer.

You could in my days Langley. We did the job, or didn't do the job. There was no in-between. You only needed one ass chewing to straighten up. I really feel for LEO's today. They are charged with being baby sitters instead of Law Enforcement Officers. I was trained by Korean, and early Nam Vets, and them boys didn't play. We had a 3 step program for hood rats. Ask 'em, tell 'em, show 'em. And, there was no lag time between steps.

From what I understand, Fisher now makes a plow setup for the Ranger.
I bet several mfg do, I saw a regular front-mount on the road this weekend. But I wanted just a simple on/off passive thing for the limited plowing I need to do.
