First snow removal with the Ranger

In all my years of living in winter wonderlands, I've never seen a butt-mounted snow plow.

Well "drive around" is a little misleading. It has a stow mode until your ready to push snow, and I only do mine and two neighbors short driveways. It can go on a front hitch if I had one. It's really quite handy. And a lot cheaper than a regular plow. I only use it a couple of times a year here in Va.

Oh Lord, two Sgt.'s in the same post. I know how you old Sgt's are as I is one myself. Maybe we can delegate the problem to a rookie.

Cool, just never saw one on the back of a truck, saw lots on tractors growing up but not on a truck.

They are not very common. They originated in North Dakota under the Snowsport brand. Then DR started selling them as the Redi-Plow. But include the front hitch with theirs. I got mine a lot cheaper and without the front hitch. But it suits me just fine. This is the third vehicle I've used it on.

So James, let me see if I understand. That there white stuff is what they call snow, right? Living in the south it's something I've heard of, so I just wanted to make sure.

BTW, like others I've never seen one that works on a trailer hitch.

Try contacting DR. They include the front hitch now with the Red-Plow. Not sure if it's "legit" or not. Maybe they can sell it separately.
