Retired, work is a four letter word.
Lived in Germany 10 years, loved the Autobahn! Always had German or Euro cars, last one was a Saab Turbo. Fastest car I ever had was a 1966 GTO 421 tri-power w/3 weber side draft progressive and a 4/11 Posi rear and 4 on the floor. Man was that thing was FAST!! The good old days :)

Just wondering what the top speed is… I floored the throttle to pass 6 cars and trucks going uphill. When I got by them and back into the lane I look down and I was doing 108 mph. Holy crap I didn’t think I was going that fast!!

The power just kept pulling.. wow..

Ok naysayers how many of you watch your speedometer when passing? I thought 75-80 tops…

Is anybody pinned 10th gear at 6500 RPMs? With a tune I bet it’s over 200mph

There's no way you're getting a Ranger to do that. Tune or not. The Ranger is not very aerodynamic. At a certain point drag limitations take effect. You'd need much more power than our little 2.3 can produce to get there.

I’m saying if you could turn 6500 rpm in 10th gear it would definitely be hauling ass

I think 110 on anything close to stock is more than enough for this truck. Even with open roads etc.

Until you can get a trap speed of 111+ .. then maybe it's time you remove the limiter but I'd hope someone would have the suspension and brakes sorted at that point.

Too fast? Can someone translate, I don't know what that means.
Falls somewhere in the area between "Fast" and "Ohhhhh Crap".....

I have confirmed that 110 limit twice now, and that’s fast enough for me in a little pick-up truck. It gets going pretty quick but still handles like a truck. I’m about to hit that old “double nickel” myself, I have no business going that fast anymore.
