Horse tail coming out exhaust

I fear the mighty 2.3 turbo has inhaled a small pony and is now depositing its remains out the tail pipe!

Seriously, I assume this is some form of glass packing from somewhere in the exhaust , anyone else seen this?

If you're still running the stock exhaust, this could only come from either the muffler or the resonator. If from the resonator then you'll be fine as it's unlikely to cause any issues. If from the muffler, you could be in for a possible blockage depending on where this let go from. It is possible that some of the glass packing material was incorrectly installed at the time the muffler was built and resulted in this getting shot out the pipe.

Back in the day I have seen this happen to cheap and I mean CHEAP glass packs, but never to OEM mufflers.

There is a thread on here where someone opened up one of our mufflers to see what was inside and how it was chambered. There was glass pack in it if I remember right. How old is this unit and under warranty still?

I had glass pack exhaust on my 1964 Ford Short Bed truck. That thing sounded awesome. Small V8 sweet. My parents hated it because it was so loud. Always woke them up and the dog always knew I was coming home miles from home. LOL.
