Ranger Keypad

Does the aftermarket keypad, the one that’s going to be battery operated, have to be located on the drivers side panel? Could I put it wherever I want? I’d actually consider locating it near the tailgate because it’s a little annoying (just a little) to head back there with groceries and not be able to access it until visiting a handle.

Depending on size, I'd probably want to put it on the lower B Pillar area since it's already Black and the Key Pad would blend in a bit.

Looks like Ford finally made it available for the Ranger on their accessories website. $100.

Guy who mounted it by the windshield wipers obviously doesn’t live in a place where it snows. That would be a nightmare to access after a snowfall.

This is in reference to the you placed on our Ford Accessories Website for a keyless entry keypad, part# KB3Z-14A626-B. As of now, that part is currently on vendor backorder through Ford, the closest time they show off of backorder is in May. I also noticed that the purchase you made was for $124.75. It appears the website allowed a $100.00 deposit, but the total cost for the keypads is $401.28 with tax. What I’m going to do for now is cancel your order...

OK With... so the person who sent you the e-mail must be marking up the charges big time, shop around to other dealerships and get one for around $100.

The dealers pricing from Ford is $368.15 for suggested list price (with remote start). Ford currently has it listed in there system at a suggested retail price or $100.00. This price discrepancy will more than likely get resolved after May 1st when the dealers get the pricing updated from Ford. As of right now, they are currently on national back order with NO ETA.
