No Sir, they told me they angles were good when I asked.

Keep in mind Tom Woods is also going to be shipping one pieces out and they haven’t told me anything about customers having to adjust angles.
Thanks! I will probably reach out to Tom Woods to find out more. I'm also checking into local shops.

Keep us posted. Talk to Shawn at Tom Woods
I'm on the wait list with Tom Woods - wondering about a few things:
It's been a few months for you now - any issues?
I know the carrier bearing has to be removed for this new drive shaft - but is the carrier bearing mount points (welded into the frame) also removed? i.e., will there be cutting/grinding involved in getting one of these 1-piece shafts installed?

If it's as simple as removing factory shaft and bolting in new one, I'll order one as soon as they are available.

I wonld not be surprised if the mount just stays where it's ar since it is fairly close to the body.

That's what I assume as well - I looked at it pretty carefully when I was under the truck this past weekend lubricating my slip joint, and it appears as though there is plenty of clearance. I guess I also wonder if they install a driveshaft loop for the 1-piece, and if so maybe it gets mounted where the carrier bearing was?

I'm eager for details.

Mine has been holding up great, no issues. I’ve put a few thousand miles on it now and have taken it off roading a few times, and no issues. The mounts stay put, no cutting. Plenty of room. Mine was a simple bolt on, no modifications to the truck itself. I can revert back to the factory driveshaft whenever I want.

How's the one piece shaft doing since last check in? Hopefully still smooth and problem free.
I am waiting to hear back from Tom Woods after getting on their list via the website. Looks like they are still testing a couple of prototypes.

No issues at all. Has a few thousand miles on it and some crazy off roading since install. I know Tom Woods sold one to a Ranger owner recently based on an IG post I saw recently.

i wouldnt worry about the trans yoke.
its not like Ford hasn't put more power through it on single shafts in other models.
My 2008 f150 had a single piece shaft and the rear trans housing broke due to a u joint going bad and the bronze bushing wearing out. Parts counter guy said it's super common and they had 12 on the shelf.

Looks good. And a reasonable price. Who did the work?
Know a lot of you been waiting for this, so here it is. Attached are pictures and details of work done.

Only drove it 35 miles. So far all highway vibrations gone, no more shutter at take off. Smooth all the way around! Drove it up to 90mph.

I’ll keep you posted once I start the work week on Monday and start driving back and forth to work every day.

Damn that sucks man. Sorry I didn’t get back to you sooner. Been busy as hell. Hopefully John gets your squared away. I haven’t had any issues with mine. Probably has 8K miles on it now
