If you look it on full screen you'll notice that the cart has no driver. Horses prolly got spooked and ran away with the cart. They do that occasionally.

My eyes couldn't tell while viewing on a tiny screen.

Buck Pennsylvania. The yellow pin is the corner he swerved around.
Doesn't seem like an Amish hangout. My guess is some kids that got ahold of an Amish buggy.
Also, I doubt it is just coincidence that it was caugh on Dash cam./

With only 1HP, that buggy was flying!
Well the 1HP is not a true figure for the horse. It's an average measurement of the horse work shift of 4 hours. The horse can sustain 1HP of work for 4 hours.

Peak power on the other hand is roughly 15HP and with adrenaline boost you can get it to 20HP.

Amish cart is 500-1000lbs and horse is 500-1000lbs. It's not much of an challenge for the horse to pull it up to it's max speed of roughly 45-55mph. (ok.. cart pullers usually do 30-35mph).

So you're saying the horse labor laws kicked the hell out of a true horse power measurement? I long for the good ole days of horse sweat shops getting a full 16 hour day out of horses!

In truth, it's reported that Amish people don't always treat their animals well. They view them as a tool. Before anyone jumps on me, I don't know for sure since I don't live in that community.

But, lets face it, that horse knew how to drift!

I just had to know. Well shut my mouth! Shazam‼
For a buggy dragster horse we would have the carriage drawn Aug. 16, 1993, Cambest became the fastest Standardbred in history when he paced a mile in one minute, 46.20 seconds in a time trial at the Illinois State Fair in Springfield. The record stands today. ''He was blessed with more extreme speed than anybody, before or since,'' Leavitt said.

The highest race speed recorded over two furlongs is 70.76 km/h (43.97 mph) and was achieved by Winning Brew trained by Francis Vitale (United States), at the Penn National Race Course, Grantville, Pennsylvania, United States, on 14 May 2008. Winning Brew covered the quarter-mile (402 m, 2 furlongs) in 20.57 sec.

I want to see a vid of that horse and buggy beside a taco. I'd put money on the horse.
