Something else complicated to break(on or off road). Plus the added weight reduces payload.

I'll pass.

A quick disconnect exhaust tip would be better. Less to break and lighter.

If we're talking serious off roading, I'd rather have a remote sway bar disconnect, thank you...

Why not just have the exhaust turn down before the bumper? Cheaper & simpler solution.

This.

Why the need for them to poke out? Just leave them in their "retracted" position.

Diesel versions have the exhaust terminated way before the rear axle even, pointing downwards. That is efficient in all ways, yet no bling factor.

It's a safety issue with carbon monoxide intrusion into cab I think...

Paint it pink, and keep activating the switch so it goes "in and out, in and out, in and out"...
Now you'll be on the sex offenders list.:giggle:

I don’t think so, look at all the new VW’s and Audi’s with their fake exhausts “tips”.

I'm not sure what the diesel regulations are like in your area but in the US when the engine goes into "regeneration mode" to cook the particulates out of the DPF filter it can actually start a fire if it's pointed directly at the ground.

Wouldn't the rear bumper get ripped off before the exhaust tip would?

Ford should focus on fixing things(F150 door latches freezing,Ranger axles that leak, broncos...whatever) before making more "innovations" that will tank.

I live in Europe and that's how the Ranger diesels are shipped basically everywhere in the world, excluding US. Also surprisingly, in South Africa, they have no regulation on emissions, so the diesels are shipped without a DPF and not long ago without a CAT also :). So they are straight piping without any risk for the periodic verification.

Last week at the Southern Missouri Offrod Ranch , I took the wrong fork in the road. The level 2 trail I was on became a white knuckle level 4? . My exhaust tip suffered some dents. My plan to fix, is take my grinder with a cutoff wheel and shorten it a couple inches, cutting on an angle that will increase exit angle clearance...
