$150K for a Bronco sure why not but only if it’s got that premium air in the tires.

Within four hours of me they range from $5k over sticker to $2k under sticker. $7,000 swing on the same vehicle. It's crazy.

I'm old enough to remember similar things happening, in the past. Funny how those gouging dealers are no longer in business, while the old standbys are still with us.

Imagine paying $80k for a Bronco with Ford's super thin paint and getting rock chips all over it within a week of owning it. Or the antenna falling off the first time it goes through a car wash.

On one hand I understand they have few cars to sell so they need to make money to stay a float , not have to let people go etc but 10K is crazy.

30K is something else , something near insanity. The entire situation is a real mess.
Those mark ups are crazy. But what's crazier is that someone will pay those prices.

I afraid they will make is short supply the new business model. Why have a massive work force you have to lay off in slow times an have to deal with a massive retirement burden when you can just reduce supply an make the same money selling half the vehicles at higher prices.

Lord have Mercy!

I would not pay that for a fully restored 1966 Bronco!

Yeah I’m sure there is someone that will. I guess if someone has money to burn why not. I don’t think there is enough people that will pay that far over to cause that level of extreme over paying to be common or cause everyone to mark up like that lol.

Could I see them trying that to minimize operating costs and maximize profits ?

Absolutely but you’d almost need the entire industry to get on board because you’d just need 1 or 2 manufacturers to not do that and many would just go with the brand that wasn’t there too pick but if they have inventory on lots at 25% less on the price. At least that’s my hope that would keep stuff in check long term

They're too greedy to do that. Scale of operations brings down costs and when one of the big three realize that and start pumping them out again and then using incentives to move inventory the other two will respond in kind. Plus, in the US we are use to going to the lot, test driving what we want, and then haggling or going to another dealer to get a better price. MSRP or MSRP+ pricing is temporary thing and won't last, however, it will probably last until the chip shortage is over for good which will most likely be 2023 sometime.
