Took it to Home Depot where I parked next to a sexy black Tremor.

Took a bit of care and loaded up the Plano Tactical Gun Cases on my Rhino Rack Pioneer Platform today. They have a great weather seal and pick n pull foam interiors, but most important of all, two of the four clasps are lockable! Gotta keep it safe, right?

I know a lot of forum members are “gun guys” so I know you’re anxious to see what I have stowed away in there.

I need the long breaker bar in case I come across @P. A. Schilke with a flat on his Lincoln and he needs someone to get his lugs past that 172 ft/lb spec!

The other case is for if I come across @AzScorpion or @dondonbabyraptor and they have a detailing emergency but they’ve run out of supplies.

Hi Duke,

Yep! I have a very half inch breakerbar and a cheater pipe with a 6 point thick wall socket on it to handle the lugs. The pathetic little wrench I got with the Lincoln is not going to work for me....

This being weenie armed at 72 years old sucks...but it is what it is....

Best,
Phil

I am a complete idiot "why does he have a 'Z'? "
It's part of a limited edition from the dealer that was only available in the south central US....

I've had these spare amber spots sitting in a box for a long time.

I saw from another thread that CaliRaised is now selling hood brackets at a (more) reasonable price of $55. Still think the markup on this stuff is astronomical.

Gave her a wash with a foam gun I picked up from Amazon. I know she’ll get dirty on the drive up to Overland Expo East this week, but I at least want her looking good going down the highway.

The walls of the rifle cases are quite thin and will require bolts, rather than screws, to install the gas struts. When I get back to the city, I’ll have better luck sourcing the proper stainless steel fasteners to do the job.
