Yeah, i know we are getting a tt and probably use the curt echo. Or just have the redarc installed. Dont overthink it. Be safe, drive reasonable. There is always a risk factor in everything we do, just be as safe as you can, choise the right weight, look at cargo availability for your vehicle and use common sense.

I cant tell you what to do but i can tell you what i am going to do.

Good luck

Just remember, it could always be worse. Remember when people used to tow their RVs with a sedan? Pepperidge Farm remembers…

That’d be like using a Taurus or a Fusion as a tow vehicle today. And how’s this for a brake controller?

There are advantages and disadvantages to each method. Trailers are great at sitting still. Motorhomes, like anything with an engine, need to be driven to work well. I could go on for a month, but it’s more helpful to point you to https://www.irv2.com/forums/.

Didn't intend to rile anybody. I'm 69 and my wife is 65. Both of us have arthritis issues. Small campers would present problems for us. Back in our 20's and 30's we camped on rivers and lakes in a 10x10 tent on folding chairs. Well, we ain't there anymore! The campers I see on the market within the tow specs of a 2 wheel drive Ranger "SEEM" to be rather small and not aimed at older people.

A choice only you can make. Nobody can tell you what is right for. My thoughts on traveling camping are different than anyone elses. Only comments I'll make: A motorhome is not a daily driver, you think the Ranger get sucky mileage towing, you need a place to park it.

Happy deliberation.

I would LOVE to have that 20' tall garage on the right! That's all I notice in this picture. :)
Hi Mike,

18' tall, 15' wide and 60' long with 50 amp full hookup inside in the first 40' Back 20' are my shop and a split floor above the shop gives me a 15' by 20" storage accessible by fold down ladder stairs. Longest and widest RV garage my builder ever built when I spec'd it out... before we built the house... Wish now I had added another 10' to the length as the shop is crowded..

best,
Phil
