Well was sitting at a red light on my way home from work and just as it was changing a Tundra was coming on my right side at about 10 mph. Let’s go Natasha! I heard him floor it as he saw me going for it. Smoked him bad, think I was in 5th and looked at speedo and was doing about 60. He backed off and followed behind. Couple miles farther another light. He’s taking the hard left onto another main road and comes up on my left. Pops me the thumbs up laughing nodding his head.

It was a good day.

I added the engine cover. Added a little paint. Happy with the outcome for the amount of time I spent on it.

Any day you beat anyone at a stoplight race is a good day. It’s a great day if it’s a Chevy or Toyota that you beat.

Since I ordered a Tremor, and that has 6 auxiliary switches, and I plan to keep this vehicle for more than two years…. I thought I should add a few things I want early on.
I am planning on adding yellow fog lights (keeping the OEM driving lights), rock lights, bed lighting, power port in the bed, aux port in the bed and under the hood (could be used for strobe/beacon/illuminated flag or whip).
Later, I may add ditch lights, rear scene lights, or some other accessories.
I like a clean install. So I set out to make a harness for all electrical accessories. All told, I used about 425 feet of wire and 200 feet of cloth tape. It’s all prepped and ready to install (each lead is flagged). Should only need 300ish zip-ties, a couple fuses, a relay and timer, a couple switches, and a hand-full of terminals. The leads are pre-measured with 12” of power and ground for each light. Should make adding the actual lights easy.

Honestly with this amount of electrical work and such, it would be really cool for you to take pictures and detail your process within a build thread. Envy your skills :muscle:

I really like that wiring kit. The box with the wire reels is boss. I am going to steal that one.

Installed the Sportwing body side moldings. I got the pre-painted with black insert. Luckily it worked out in the perfect spot to cover a ding on rear door!

I don't not like that. Seems a good fit for your truck and the rest of your accents.
Good job!

Installed door sill / rocker guards. I decided to dremel cutouts in them where I had placed Lux rock lights during the steps installation. Although an official ford part, they came with the bushwacker logo right on them. Seems kind of odd but I don't mind, and the fit is good. Also nice how they clean up the pinch weld area, and imo they go well with the Amp powersteps.

Well, I started to add my Diode Dynamics lights to the truck, but ran into problems.

F9441449-73E5-4C1E-82B5-9935FC75635C.jpeg
A-pillar lights installed fine, and I have to say that their mounting bracket is a bit more engineered than being simply a piece of bent metal. Even have cutouts for the zip ties used to guide the wires. Dunno if they’re worth the $80 or so, but at least it doesn’t feel like something I could do myself.

The fog lights, however, were a different story. Sure, there’s the standard pains of getting to them, but that’s been discussed well enough I don’t need add to it. Instead, my real problem was that one of the wiring adapters, used to connect the light into the factory harness, didn’t work. Sent a message to the vendor, and should hear back on Monday. Even still, it’ll probably be after the holiday before the replacement arrives. And troubleshooting this whole ordeal cut into the time I had available, and soon I couldn’t keep the wife and kids at bay long enough to finish. So I’ve got one stock fog in place, and one SS3 one.

Joy.
