I love that about our hood as well. However, I recall seeing a post saying that these hoods are the strongest part of our trucks in terms of durability - I disagree strongly. With 3 pings in mine after 2 years of ownership. One from the factory where the latch is, and one from a walnut falling onto it from 4 feet. My 2010 Ranger has literally been through hell and back and not a single dent on the hood.

Yeah I love it, but it's easy to miss when looking straight on.

Yep. I had a difficult time letting it go for the new Ranger . It had the 4.0 and only 43K miles. It was in pristine condition mechanically and cosmetically. Would probably have lasted for my lifetime.

The sales rep. at the dealership totally surprized me when he looked at it and said privately to me, "You should keep that truck, its too nice to get rid of" . Never expected that from a sales person! . A sales manager there heard about it's condition and with several members of his team said "we would like to go look at your Ranger." And that move was not a part of the sales process.

After letting it go, struggled with remorse over the deal. But after testing the 5g and the way it operated...the remorse began to wane. Finally, I could say...NO REGRETS But occaisionally get sentimental. If I had to do it all over again, I would. It would be easier now...
