Figure since most of us on here have probably done a good amount of research to get a great deal, this could be kind of fun to highlight some of the ridiculous and overpriced listings on the other end of the spectrum people come across while searching for a new Ranger.

People asked me why I went all the way to Oregon to buy my truck and this is a perfect example from my local dealership. These are a couple of trucks out front, one was an XLT Sport and the other is an XLT FX4 that they added some aftermarket items to (but forgot spellcheck on).

That is crazy pricing. Profit center for the dealership.

Wow - that is amazing. 6k in dealer markup and 6k for lift kit and wheels and tires.

A dealer here in Oregon did almost the same - similar package (lift, wheels and tires) for 9k with 2k in dealer markup. But it didn't have a spray in bedliner.

Those prices are nuts.

Jesus Christ, the markup is higher than the combined parts. The same markup for two radically differently priced packages too. That's not even considering the hidden markup on those lifts and wheels because 6k for wheels and a level? Really?. Damn that's greedy.

I didn't even bother to check the stickers on the two modded rangers they had out front at the dealer here. Where in Oregon did you get your Ranger?

I ended up buying mine at the Ontario Auto Ranch, they had the best deal on the truck I wanted in the 5 states I was looking.

Early this year, could of been May or June, one of the 3 dealers here quoted me an internet price of $8,000 dollars above MSRP, their justification is that the 2019 Ranger is brand new to the market, it was a Lariat SuperCrew 4x4.
Essentially they told me "take it or leave it" , my response was for them to insert it where the sun don't shine.

The dealer I ordered mine through just before the prices went full stupid is adding $5000 over MSRP to all Rangers, which is pretty common in my area.

These are crazy prices... Avoid all that by joining one of the organizations offering X-Plan pricing. I am an aircraft owner so I have been an EAA member for years. You don't have to own a plane or even be a pilot to join the EAA (Experimental Aircraft Assoc). Pay the fee to join (I think it is less than $50) and 90 days you are X-Plan eligible. Go find or better yet, order the Ranger the way you want it and pay a preset price. No haggling, that's it.

My mistake, it's only $4000 for Ranger. $5000 for F150

Looks like either supply is getting better and is starting to drive prices back towards reality or the dealers are finally realizing that even with demand high, there's a limit to what people pay. I'm starting to see dealers that not only have dropped the crazy $3000-5000 markup but are actually going back to listing below sticker and have trucks in the lot. A month ago a truck on a lot in the Midwest was guaranteed to be listed significantly over sticker.

Although it looks like the dealer I ordered through hasn't gotten the message yet - still trying to add $4000 over sticker lol. I do see that their inventory has gone from 3 trucks a couple of weeks ago to 5 now so I'm assuming they're not moving trucks at their insane high prices.

All the dealers out here think they're sitting on gold. They're prices are so insane that's why I'm buying my Bronco in IA. I'm so glad I bought my Ranger when I did, I'd never pay these crazy inflated prices.

It's not just car dealers either, we're looking at RVs and they're all over priced here. The same exact one in MI (and a few other states) is $6k-$8k cheaper. You bet I'll make a road trip to save that much. I know it's supply and demand right now but they're selling a used 2018 for more than I can buy a brand new 2022 in MI.

Yeah if I hadn't ordered before things got nuts, I'd be willing to fly across country to get a reasonable price because the difference between the dealership in Minnesota I posted and the dealers near me is a $6000 swing for the same truck.
